Postpartum high blood pressure

Has anyone else ended up with high blood pressure postpartum?

I was borderline a lot during pregnancy and then very normal and sometimes low towards the end. Since she’s been out my blood pressure has been high managed with medication but it seems like I might just have high blood pressure now. I’m trying to manage with food and walking every day, but I think sleep deprivation is the one thing I can’t really change. My doctor has been really good and monitoring how I’m doing etc.

Has anyone else gone through this? How are you handling it?

Hi, my baby is now 5 months old. Like you I was always boarder line during pregnancy sitting around 130/140 70/80. When I had him it was super high I ended up in hospital with it as it was extremely high. I had to buy a BP monitor of amazing and do it morning and night for 7 days for the doctor. Luckily it did come down on its own but I generally think the stress of having a baby and lack of sleep and movement etc caused mine. Since I’ve been back walking every day and going the gym it’s got so much better. How many weeks PP are you? If your under 6 weeks they need to be checking you for PP preeclampsia xx

My baby is 4 months and I developed high blood pressure after birth and it keeps getting high and the doctor has increased my dosage and I have been doing lots of walking recently. I have also done home blood pressure reading, I also have to buy a blood pressure machine which I also use in monitoring which has helped too. I think lack of sleep also increases my blood pressure

Pregnancy

I’m 34 and thinking about trying for a another baby, but I have quite a few worries and concerns, especially about my age and whether it might affect my chances of getting pregnant or having a healthy pregnancy. How was your experience? Do you have any advice or tips to help me feel less anxious about pregnancy at this age? ☺️✨

Not feeling excited yet

I’m 17 weeks with my first, and to be honest I’m not really feeling excited or attached yet. Not after the first scan, or hearing the heartbeat. I’m just curious if others are experiencing the same thing. I imagine something will trigger me to feel something, but I don’t know if that will be finding out the gender, feeling it move, or maybe it won’t even be until I meet them. Everyone else around me seems far more excited and enthusiastic right now!
