My boy is going to be 2 in less than 2 weeks now & still barely saying many words he says mama, dada, nana, go, no, makes noises of a duck & he has recently started saying mummy & okay but i feel that he is behind. Is there recommendations on what I can do to improve this? Does it seem like he is behind?

My son was similar at this age. He’s 3 next week and I can’t shut him up. Around 2.5 his language exploded x

Boys are usually slower, he will get there, he's probably just more interested in other things at the mo ❤️

My little boy was very similar, he hardly spoke a word at all until around 2 and a half, he was 3 in June and chats all the time now!

I accidentally clicked yes because I misread and thought he is going to be 3. For a not yet 2yo, that's probably on the lower end of normal, but still normal. If you're worried, you could wait a few more months and then get an slt evaluation if there's little progress and you're still worried. But I wouldn't worry too much just yet
If you've been through this please share your experience. It's been 2 years and I can't get over it. We have 2 under 2 and I'm a sahm, i feel stuck.

I am very much a bath girly and am starting to really miss having a nice warm soak.
A midwife in the hospital told me that I should wait 6-8 weeks for a bath. Is this true? Can a bath without soaps/ bubble bath be had before this? I have been showering daily, avoiding getting shampoo and shower gel on my incision.
I am 4 and a half weeks post C section.
Thanks for any advice xx

My mother who is 61 believes babies and toddlers should be PERFECT. She put me down so much with my first that I blamed myself for her not sleeping etc this time around with my second i understand it is biologically normal for babies to wake up during the night! I can take the comments this time however I cannot take her putting my toddler down. She gets extremely offended if my toddler does not say bye to her. My toddler is a pretty well behaved toddler but like all has her moments and if she is pushed she will push back and refuse even more to do something. Every time she refuses to say bye to her she says she will not return to see her again etc I’ve repeatedly explained just say bye to her and not make a drama bcos if you force her she will definitely not say it. I don’t want her to grow up a people pleaser like me and tonight I’d had enough she keeps saying wow just wait til she is a teenager her behaviour will be horrific etc my toddler takes in EVERYTHING she is told and all of this is said in front of her. It got into an argument when I spoke up and the usual came out of what has happened to this generation blah blah. Does anyone else’s parents behave like this? I have found that even older people accept that babies don’t sleep and motherhood is hard

Has anyone tried the Ferber method and been successful? I’m usually against sleep training babies but my LO wakes up every 15-30mins all night long and I can’t handle the sleep deprivation I have an under 2 toddler as well so it’s a lot… Also my LO screams hysterically if I even let her cry for 1 minute??? Just to go to the toilet or to grab something

My baby is 5 weeks old and he just won’t settle at night in his crib no matter how much me and my partner try. We feed him at the correct time, comfort him but he just won’t settle down. What do I do?
