my baby has started nipple biting before she even has teeth 🫠 anyone else had this?

I always said that teeth might be the thing that makes me stop as I’ve already got further than I expected tbh. But the biting has started already and the way it feels she might as well have teeth!!! Is it a phase cos I hope sooooo

She’s likely teething. Lots of gel/ powder/ toys before a feed. If she chomps don’t react just unlatch and wait 5 and relatch. It feels nice on their gums but they don’t realise it hurts you!

I fed my first until 25 months and they learn really quickly not to bite with the right approach!

Also worth watching the feed as some babies bite when they’re finished/ bored/ not hungry so you can pre-empt it and unlatch before that happens x

Is definitely a phase. Make sure you give nice cool teething toys to chew before every feed and make sure to use some really good teething pain reliever. Anbesol liquid is amazing as it has lidocaine in it. Literally numbs everything. Highly recommend.

I promise it is just a phase. I'm still feeding my now three and a half year old as well as my six month old. My first went through the phase and my second I'm sure will also go through the phase. Hang in there you're doing great xxx

Thank you both! I’m glad to hear it does pass because as much as I always said teeth is when I’ll stop, she doesn’t take a dummy and doesn’t sleep so I’d actually be doing myself a disservice to stop anytime soon 😂😂

At what age do you think kids develop their core memories?

The internet says around 3yo they start to form.

Last night, whilst my daughter was having her bath, she said 'mummy & daddy don't play with me...' to herself but I was in there with her & her dad was downstairs & heard her say it.

It made me incredibly sad as we do play with her - especially her dad.

I will hold my hands up & say that I'm terrible for using my phone when in her presence - especially after a long day at work where I just want to disassociate 🫣😫 but I do put it down when she wants my attention (her dad is guilty of this too).

I'm just worried that I've created a core memory for her that 'mum's always on her phone' 😫😭

I've asked Chat gpt for some activities I can do once she's back from nursery & I'm back from work & starting today, I'm leaving my phone upstairs whilst we do some of those activities together cuz I never wanna hear her sound so sad again 🥹

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

What can my 4 month old baby sit in?

He wants to sit up more but not sure if he is too young for the mamas and papas chair with tray?

Toy suggestions!

We’re currently designing a wishlist for Xmas for our little one who is 7m old.

What sort of toys would you guys recommend for us?

Ideally things that help with development and things without batteries / flashing lights / music please!

We’ve already got megabloks, a ragdoll and musical instruments on the list 🎁

Thank you in advance!
