Just to give you hands up.
It’s so sad that children are not allowed in the screening room. My little one was so excited to see his sibling and ended up waiting outside with my husband. We kind of lost the special moment. We are planning to go private soon.
Thankfully baby is doing really great❤️

I think the reason they do this is because for many women it’s the first scan, I’ve had two miscarriages and I can’t imagine the pain of going through that whilst also explaining to a young child what it is in that very same moment and them watching you absolutely collapse with grief. I know in my area they write it into the policy no kids for the scans because of the potential for bad news at a 12 week scan or your anatomy scan. I know it’s hard when you feel like that special moment is taken away, but I do understand why they do it❤️ we’re lucky private scans are fairly cheap in the UK so definitely a nice thing to do with the little one, they’re much more patient in private ones too you’ll have a great experience with them! X

It should say it on all of the letters etc you receive but yeah, no kids allowed. Ultimately they're medical appointments that can go wrong, they don't want children there in that case.
For special family moments 100% go private if that's what you're after. For my first scan at 7 weeks we went private, I went in first to check everything was okay and then my partner came in with our daughter 😁 x

No NHS scans allow kids or more than 1 adult chaperone. It’s purely medical, and time constraint, they are concentrating on getting measurements and checking health. God forbid there’s bad news. It should have said on the letter.
I’ll preface this by saying, feeling her move is so reassuring as makes me so happy knowing she’s okay in there.
But the actual sensation of her moving at 22 weeks makes me feel really weird inside. At this time is more rolling and swiping, and makes me jump and shift uncomfortably. I feel like I should love this part of being pregnant, but I’m not which makes me feel guilty. Anyone else?

Had my CS Tuesday. Felt really well afterwards but today I've struggled especially as day has gone on. Feeling like I need more pain relief. When does the pain start to ease off ?
