Is it normal for a 3 week old to still be grunting and loudly snuffling when sleeping?! My baby boy is quite loud and I thought this only lasted a week or so after birth 🤔

6 week old still the same, can't remember how long it lasted with my older two, so it can't have been that long 😂

We're 4 weeks in and baby still doing this. 👍🏼 Warthog is a terribly accurate description 😅

Oh I thought I was alone. I keep feeling like the chest is clogged and it’s affecting her breathing and I have been worrying
Had to record it to play for the midwife tomorrow as we having a visit
Baby is just few days away from 4weeks

4 weeks tomorrow and exactly like this 😂 not sure which is worse, that or the partners heavy breathing at night 😂

I've found the Calpol nasal spray quite effective for helping with his breathing. He sounds really clogged when breathing too. I don't know how you delivered, but I was told after my c section it can be more common when delivered that way as the mucus isn't squeezed out in the same way. Bit gross, sorry, but it kinda makes sense.

Im glad this has been posted, my baby is 7 weeks on Tuesday and he’s congested so badly, mainly at night and after feeds it’s worse so use saline drops. I worry about his breathing as he’s grunted so much x

Mine is like an old man - if he’s not grunting he’s farting 🤣

That’s how my baby sounds when asleep at times 😪😪😪
Honestly it scares me

Yep 7 weeks here, I can't sleep I have her doing this and my partner like a fog horn on the other side 🤣

Same here have a very noisy baby on one side a snoring partner on the other and a snoring dog under the bed somewhere and I wonder why I’m tired in the morning 😂🤷🏼♀️🙈

Yep, 6 weeks and still grunting and snuffling away all night. My daughter didn't do it so this is wild. Apparently they grow out of it at 2-3 months?
I have been referred to social services due to a cancelled abortion clinic appt as they were worried about emotional abuse/coercive control. I have another toddler already. Feeling very stressed and anxious. Has anyone had this experience themselves or have any experience of social services assessment? They advised they will be visiting me.

My daughter is 16 weeks old now and prior to about 2 weeks ago she used to be such a good sleeper at night. One maybe 2 wakes at most and she slept through the night a handful of times!
Since she hit 14 weeks, everything changed 😅 she wakes up constantly all night, 5-10 times a night.. I’m exhausted! I think the 4 month sleep regression came a little early for us ?
We’re 2 weeks into it now with no sign of it getting any better, how long can I expect this to go on for? Will she ever be a good sleeper again? 😫

Hi everyone. My baby girl was born on 25th September at 34 weeks (she was 5lb 5oz) and we spent a couple weeks in hospital afterwards. Initially for the first 7 days she was tube fed and we were discharged triple feeding, so I breastfeed (have only had success with a nipple shield 🙃) then I top up with 45ml breastmilk afterwards and then pump. This is not sustainable long term but I guess I'm just looking for any success stories from doing this?!? I don't really know what to do, she doesn't transfer milk very well whilst breastfeeding as every feed takes a good half hour per breast (if I manage to get her to latch) and then she needs the top up after. It all feels a bit pointless using the nipple shield but she is completely reliant, has anyone managed to wean their little one off? I went to a breastfeeding clinic locally and found it a bit stressful so don't really want to go back (I just had a lady trying to shove my boob in her mouth for 20 mins without a shield whilst she screamed hysterically). I don't really know what to do and just feel like I need some reassurance to bin it all off and transition to formula maybe? Or shall I wait it out??
She will be 4 weeks on Friday and is now 5lb 14oz (up from 5lb 5oz).
Sending hugs to all you September mums 😄 xxxx
