I'm only on day 5 after having an emergency c-section and so far it's not been too bad. Staying on top of pain relief and mobilising has helped me a lot. But remember you've just had a baby take it easy, enjoy all the cuddles and hugs with bubba.

The best advice i had after my section from friends and family that had a section before me is the faster you can get up and about the faster you start to recover. The night of my section I was up and walking steadily with help from the nurse to walk around the ward and was able to get my catheter out aswell and use the toilet independently, the day after my section I was home and taking my dog round the park with my partner and daughter in the pram (very cautiously and only about 10 minutes, given the clear to do so by my midwife) it has been the best advise I was given i am almost 3 weeks postpartum and healing well still a bit sore and tender but doing well

I’m two weeks post partum, I was not prepared at all and now I have an infection please air out the scar as much as you can I wasn’t able to and now I use a fan as much as I can clean pad and night pyjamas everyday too. But I was able to be up and about so much as I wanted to heal quickly I’m on antibiotics atm, baby is fine and is breast fed

I'm on my second c section recovery.
In the early days take regularly pain relief even in the night if u need it (I found moving in bed looking after baby some of the hardest movements) keep moving if it's just waking around the house.
Listen to Ur body when it tells you to stop. You still had surgery and need to rest

I just had my second emergency c-section on Monday and being mobile has 100% helped me. I had to stay in hospital for 48hours with baby and was released Wednesday afternoon. I don't do anything too crazy as it is important to rest, but things like light housework, short walks, etc and keeping on top of pain relief both day and night xx
Hi, I had a c section 9 weeks ago. I was sterilized at the same time. I was discharged with a catheter because I couldn’t wee after the set time it was removed Two weeks later but I still have no sensation to go for a wee. Doctor referred me to the hospital to get checked over just wondering if anyone else suffered with this. And what the outcome was

We had a private gender scan done at 14 weeks. We got told the baby is a boy! But the private’s look very big for a 14 week old scan 🫣😅 compared to my youngest boys scan and his was at 16 weeks. Does this look like an umbilical cord shot or deffo a boy! 🥲🫣😳

Hi ladies, I had my c section 5 weeks ago. What's everyone's wound healing process been like? I've still got the occasional sharp pains and pulling sensations when I move certain ways. Is this normal?

I don’t suppose anyone else has had a c-section swiftly followed by appendix/gall bladder removal & can give a realistic idea of how long it’ll take to feel more normal again?
I’m 7w post c section & had both the above removed this week and currently feel like I’ve taken 10 steps back from a recovery point of view so would love to hear a real life experience!
