Pushing?

Ladies, I’ve been experiencing some downward pelvic heaviness, especially after sitting for a little while. I gently pushed with my muscles fewer than 10 times, but my belly didn’t tighten. I did this to see if i could feel where the heaviness stemmed from. The heaviness has mostly gone away, and baby girl is moving normally. I’m worried about whether the pushing could have harmed her or triggered labor.

If it triggered labor you would know. You'd lose your mucus plug, your water would break or youd have contractions.

Pressure on your pelvis is normal. But I suggest not trying to push 😅

Anyone else suffer with this

Hi, I had a c section 9 weeks ago. I was sterilized at the same time. I was discharged with a catheter because I couldn’t wee after the set time it was removed Two weeks later but I still have no sensation to go for a wee. Doctor referred me to the hospital to get checked over just wondering if anyone else suffered with this. And what the outcome was

Elective C-Sections

Is anyone else seriously considering having an elective c-section in an otherwise uncomplicated pregnancy? Whenever I talk to friends/family or my OB, I’m always met with slight prejudice on the fact that I’m considering this. It seems like a universal understanding that vaginal births are always better. However, I’m really struggling to understand why. When I think about affects on the mother, I know that C-sections are major abdominal surgeries and recovery time is longer, however the recovery is only temporary. With a C-section you significantly decrease your risk in long-term pelvic floor dysfunction, and completely avoid the inevitability of tearing in any degree, stretching, and any long-term adverse side effects that come with that. In weighing if I’d rather have long term scar tissue in my abdomen or…elsewhere, the choice seems obvious. Secondly, there is no question that c-sections are safer for your baby. And for the mother, although going through major surgery, the procedure is completed in 60 minutes or less in a fixed amount of time in a highly controlled environment. No unknown hours of labor, and god forbid, if something did go wrong, you’re already in the environment to address anything. I’m frustrated that I consistently need to defend myself when the choice seems rather obvious. Am I missing something? Is anyone else experiencing the same push back or same thought process?
