I've just been reading an article about the risks of having Group B Strep and passing it onto your baby. Has anyone been tested on the NHS or paid for private testing? Just wondering if this is something I should do....

I’ve been tested (and positive) - nothing to worry about, affects 20-40% of women and you just need IV antibiotics during labour so that baby doesn’t get infected

I asked the midwife about testing as my sister in law had it and her and baby needed antibiotics she said nhs don’t do it as you could be positive and on the day of birth negative vice versa . I’ve not bothered looking further into it

Which article?
I've done a hell of a lot of reading about GBS and decided even if I had the testing, and even if I was positive, I wouldn't have the antibiotics. The chances of it negatively affecting your baby are so so so so small.
There's some really good evidence here https://www.sarawickham.com/research-updates/gbs-screening/

I had GBS confirmed after my urine sample at the booking appt
...I also had it last birth, I'll be having the anti bs during birth, good to do the appropriate research so you can decide xx
My baby’s dad performed a DNA test on him and my baby without my knowledge or consent. My baby wasn’t even a month old at this point. Any advice or thoughts? He’s not on the birth certificate.

My 10 month old has found her voice, it doesn’t bother me during the day of the pterodactyl screeching or weird sounds but for the last week now she will not go to sleep when it’s bed time, she’s up hours on end making sounds. Did this happen to anyone else’s baby? Did anyone find a way to make them go to sleep ?

Did anyone get their son circumcised? If so, how did you guys help them during the healing process?
I’m asking because next month my son gets circumcised and I want to make sure he heals well

I had been co sleeping with my 6 month little girl for the past month, I met up with my friend who’s a nurse and she told about an 8 month old baby passed away due to co sleep (rolled on her tummy and couldn’t move).
It really scared me so the past week we have transferred her to her cot (still next to our bed) but she is wakes 7-10 times a night and I’m exhausted and struggling so bad.
Do you guys co sleep or has anyone successfully got their co sleeping baby into their cot?
Any advice would be amazing❤️

My little boy has been constantly pooing since Monday but the last 2 days it’s been a LOT like 7+ 😭 he woke up Monday with sniffles and has been congested since then starting to clear slightly. I’ve stopped his solid foods today to give his tummy a rest as it’s not watery but it’s very mucus. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with their little one when they’ve come done with a virus? It’s so draining for him and me. Went for the doctors today and they wasn’t fussed as he seemed well and has been having wet nappies even though he isn’t taking all of his 7oz bottles.
