Daughters second birthday “party”

I had a few things planned but others kept putting their input in, husband and mil. I just wanted it as a small party of us because we’re all in her daily life. But one thing was too expensive, another might not have worked out in this weird Florida weather, and then another we woke up too late for this morning… I feel bad that all we did was presents and cake for her “party” this year and even worse because last year we didn’t even have enough time to decorate before everyone arrived. Of course we made today all about her and even had a family dinner out but I still want to be able to do full parties that are fully decorated for my daughter.. my parents only ever did cake and possibly a present if that, and I don’t want it to end up being like that. I feel like I’m overthinking it but at the same time I’m not and it’s just going to bug me forever because her first 2 birthdays have honestly in my opinion been absolute shit!! Opinions please?

Is the party for you or for her? She won't remember it.

Had a private scan today!

I had a private scan today and it was so reassuring. Anyone who’s feeling a bit nervous, have a look at whether there’s somewhere close to you. It cost me £60 for a 15 minute appointment. I am 8 weeks and it’s incredible! You can see they already have 4 limbs and you can see the bones in the spine forming and the heartbeat is visable too! She reassured me that the yolk sack is in the right place etc too. Would highly recommend it! Picture for anyone who is also 8 weeks - your bubba will look very similar! 😍

Baby bored!

Does anyone else feel like their baby is fussy because of being bored of the house or am I just looking for reasons? 😂 the recent weather has had us indoors more, some days short walks in the morning but some days we aren’t even managing that. The days we don’t go out at all her evening fuss starts earlier at like 2.30 where none of her toys are doing the trick and I do just feel like it’s boredom but have no idea how to get around it!
