I’m pissed

Okay so I’m just pissed that my boyfriend decides to get drunk every weekend and spends hours playing games then nighttime is coming and he has to go to couch bc we cosleep. But baby boy has been awake since 2am and so fussy and ofc I’m the one handling everything bc I do days and nights and baths and cries and I’m just so exhausted and pissed at him bc he gets free time to play and get drunk but I don’t get ANY free time to do anything. I haven’t even showered.
I’m just so tired and I know load can’t be balanced bc I’m EBF so basically I need to be available for baby always (which is not a problem bc this type of feeding was my decision) but he NEVER does nights, he doesn’t even know how to put him to sleep. And don’t even get me started on how many times A DAY I ask him if he has washed his hands. I don’t understand the fact that he DOESNT UNDERSTAND how important hygiene is when our baby is taking his hands to his mouth ALL THE TIME. UGHHHH I’m just so tired of everything.

I’ve been there. But different. Breast feeding does make it feel like it falls solely on the woman. Your connection with the baby at this time is so strong and the father sometimes doesn’t get to feel that connection. He needs to hold the baby skin to skin some possibly pump breast milk and have him cover at least one feeding during the night so you can rest. Don’t expect him to do it without you asking or making him. Some men just don’t know how to help.. really they don’t help unless they’re asked. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Girl???! Start pumping that milk and see if baby will take to a bottle and have him do a night so you can rest!! babies are shared responsibility between both parents exclusively breast feeding or not! If you’re not comfortable with giving baby your milk through a bottle and prefer straight from the boob, have him do nappies, bath time, soothing to sleep, day time entertainment between feeds so you can get some rest! babies are hard bloody work and should not be put onto one singular person! as for all the free time he gets, make sure you’re going out with friends and family with baby so that they can help take over a little bit, or have them at yours! i hope you’re okay this sounds heavy x

I’d be absolutely fuming too 😭🤍 Just because you’re exclusively breastfeeding doesn’t mean everything else should fall on you! He might not be able to feed the baby, but he can change nappies, settle him, do baths and give you time to shower or just have a break. It’s not fair that he gets hours to himself every weekend while you’re running on no sleep. I’d definitely have a proper conversation with him when he’s sober because you deserve some time to yourself too. And honestly, if he’s been drinking, he shouldn’t be responsible for sleeping with the baby either. You can’t keep pouring from an empty cup 🥺🤍

Video Games

Anyone’s husband still
play video games or is it just my husband? It’s such a turn off for me 🤢 He just started using an old phone to play a game on there but prior he would go to the basement anytime he could to play but now he just sitting around up here on the phone playing games and it’s so f*cking annoying. He literally spent two hours this morning that phone then took it with him to the bathroom to play while he used the bathroom now he’s literally standing in the kitchen playing while I brush my daughter’s hair.

Teething?

Hi, is it possible my 11 week old is teething? His cheeks are often quite red, nappies are wetter and he’s now sucking both his hands quite vigorously even though he’s just been fed.

🩵please no judgment🩵

I’m so sorry this isn’t really about my baby or motherhood. I’m a single mum to a little boy and I’ve been working my absolute arse off whilst i can get baby free time but i just feel like im constantly broke. i always make sure my baby has everything and ill do whatever I can to make sure he has what he needs and wants. so i got myself into debt. he’s just had his bday so that was klarna and clearpay used. When i became a single mum i had no where to go so i had a loan for hotel rooms. I used a credit card to replace all his clothes, toys, bottles, steriliser, cot, walker etc. i left with nothing and had to build it all back up again. I try as much as i can to make the monthly payments etc but it’s just not helping. does anyone know how to get help with this ? I’ve called the company’s but non of them seem to understand or hear me. It’s like talking to a wall. I know it seems silly but I truly just wanted best for my little boy in a really hard and 💩 situation.
Thank you for taking time to read 🩵
