My baby is almost 11 months old and he has contact napped since day 1. I’ve decided I want to stop these now so I get some time to myself and can start getting stuff done around the house.
He still feeds to sleep. I tried putting him down this morning after 10 minutes of him falling asleep on me and he woke up instantly. I’ve replicated his room to bedtime so he has his white noise machine on and his light projector but he still won’t sleep. He doesn’t particularly like being rocked either. Any suggestions?

We contact napped till 8 months and then i started putting her down for her first nap as they should have the most sleep pressure for that one. It took awhile to be fair. She could take a good nap around 10-11months. Now we are on 1 nap at 14months and she sleeps in her bed but I stay next to her to give her the dummy if she wakes up after 30mins and then she is back asleep.
Id say put baby down around 5-10mins after falling asleep. If he stays asleep, stay or come back to the room in about 25mins to be ready to help him transition to the next sleep cycle.
If first nap is not good, you can always "save" the day by contact napping for the second. That's what I did.
Just keep trying, he will get used to it eventually.
Hope this helps a bit, it was long, sorry lol xx
hi 🤍 ftm to my almost 2 month old. i choose to breastfeed and bottle feed but i don’t have a consistent schedule. i’ve been doing either or, based upon the time
of day, how much milk i have stored, or how fussy my baby is. i also co-sleep at times but other times he will sleep in his bassinet. but now im realizing the only way he is soothed is by being on my chest or immediately getting breastfed or by the bottle (eating.) i cant really sit him down anywhere anymore for more than 5-10 minutes before he starts crying again. he also doesn’t really rely on pacifiers or like being in his swing that long anymore (he used to love it without crying). i love that he’s attached to me, but i also want to know how to have him be soothed in other ways for when i choose to stop breastfeeding, put him in his crib in his room, travel and need family to watch him, need to run an errand, do anything around the house, etc. any tips or ideas ?

For those who have switched from formula to cows milk when your LO turns 1, what have you done about night feeds (if they still wake for a feed through the night)? Cold milk from the fridge? Warm it up in the microwave? Take a flask upstairs? We’ve always used a prep machine in his bedroom so it’s been quite quick to make bottles without him getting too upset when waiting

Hi mamas 💕
I was hoping to do an appointment in person to see how prams worked.
However, I’ve had a difficult pregnancy where I went on for a follow up scan at 22 weeks which resulted in a 6 week stay in hospital. I’m now back at home but fully on strict bedrest (just going to hospital appts only). Gutted my pregnancy isn’t what I expected but happy I’ve reached 28 weeks now 🥰
Any recommendations of prams/travel systems? We are having this one thing gifted, so ideally I’d like to try buy in Black Friday Sales for a good deal.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼

It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even know if I’ve slept through the night because of how often my LO gets up and how light of a sleeper I am

my little one is 6 weeks 3 days and isn’t smiling yet. whenever he is not asleep he is crying and never seems to be happy. my eldest is now 5 years old so I can’t remember if that’s still normal at this age! anyone else?

My daughter spits when she’s annoyed or we’ve told her off. Why is this? Is this normal and how do I stop this? Of course we keep telling her not to spit and that it’s wrong!
