I would love some advice on this too!
My little boy is the same, will nap for an hour-2 hours if I’m holding him. The minute I put him down, he wakes back up again😫

In the same boat! First nap of the day I can get 30 minutes but then he will fall back asleep on me… currently nap trapped and I’ve tried 6 times to put him down as soon as his head hits the mattress his eyes ping open 🤦🏼‍♀️

Currently nap trapped by my 3 month old as I comment 😅
I think our babies just love the snuggles too much 🥰
Enjoy this phase here right now as they will grow up so quickly and wouldn’t want to be in our arms forever x

Numb from a contact nap too right now. 😆

My little boy is the same! We got into a habit of his first nap of the day being a cot nap, but more recently he’s not doing as long stints. He’s quite fussy atm and wants to be on me more, he’s always loved a contact nap and would go for hours! He wakes every hour at night and literally has an alarm that goes off every time I put him down. It’s tough! I’m just trying to break the feeding to sleep cycle at night too so lots of change atm. But nice to hear it’s normal too x

Yes same but tbh he sleeps 8+ hours at night so I can’t really complain. During the day he’s good on his own entertaining himself if I have things to do like cleaning or cooking (kitchen is in the living room and flat is pretty small so he’s never alone). Only time he’s done longer than an hour was after his injections this past weekend

I do 3 cot naps and one contact nap. The 3 cot naps aren't long 30 mins but it gets him used to being in his cot and the big one either in pram or my arms to make sure he's getting enough nap time sleep overall

Nappy preferences?

Hi all,
I just wanted to ask what nappies you all prefer, I had my daughter 16 years ago and didn’t really rate pampers back then. What nappies are the best now to avoid leakage etc.

Thanks :)

Baby's 1st cold

How did everyone deal with the 1st illness? Baby boy is 6.5 months old and has caught his 1st cold. Snotty and a cough. He seems to breathe fine when napping (contact naps) but at night it's awful and we are up most of the night. I've got the vapour plug in, baby Vicks coming today and olbas oil. Any advice on how to get everyone a better nights sleep? He seems to be up all night and napping all day 🤦

Need some breastfeeding advice and support!

My breastfeeding journey has been really difficult. My baby struggled with latching, and since his tongue-tie snip around 8 weeks old, he has completely refused the breast. He takes bottles well, but cries whenever I try to bring him to my nipple. 💔

I’m currently pumping and really want to help him latch again, but I’m feeling lost and don’t know what to try next. I have tried nipple shield and he latched couple of times but he struggles and refuses and cries as soon as he feels the fake nipple on his lips. I really really really really want to breastfeed.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Did your baby eventually return to breastfeeding? I’d really appreciate any advice, tips or personal experiences.

Overnight diapers

What diapers is everyone using for overnight? My 7 month old leaks through no matter what. I've tried sizing up, sizing down, layering a pull up over his normal diaper, multiple overnight changes. No matter what I do every morning he is soaked. I can change him during every wakeup and from 6-10am no matter when we wake up that last stretch of sleep, he leaks through. It's affecting both our sleep. I can tell he's still tired in the morning but once I have to change all his clothes and take his sleep sack off he's too riled up to go back to sleep.

Daytime naps

Hi all, how are you doing your daytime naps with your baby?

I usually have to breastfeed my baby and then if I’m lucky he’ll fall asleep but if not, he stays awake for hours and won’t go to sleep at all until maybe next feed but even then, he can go hours without sleeping.

I wonder, should I treat naps like night time? We struggle less at night, I change him into his night outfit, put him in his sleep sack and nurse to sleep then transfer to crib. Should I do the same for day time naps? I thought we had to differentiate the two and as they recommend having baby in the same room as you for the first 6 months, I have never really left him alone for a nap so it’s in our bedroom and I don’t really make it super dark or quiet because I need to get stuff done. Just recently I’ve been using a monitor to do some stuff quickly around the house but I’m confused I don’t know what to do.

Also there is almost now way to get him to nap without nursing him to sleep, I can rock him all I want he won’t sleep, he’ll snooze then wake up the second I love ..
