Crawling

My little girl is 8 months and 1 week and not crawling. She doesn't seem interested really. She doesn't get herself onto her hand and knees. And when I get her in crawling position she rocks for a bit then her legs spread out and she's on her tummy again
I put a toy Infront of her or the cat and she just tries to reach with her arms and then gets upset with frustration
She does help weger love being on her feet, I have no doubt she'll be walking by Christmas
Anyone else in the same boat?

My son was the same until a week or so ago. He'd be on all 4s and then his legs would go out and he'd be on his belly pulling himself along. I started to hold his knees so they couldn't spread and that helped. He's off now, but it was a lot of army crawling before this

My little boy had shown absolutely no interest in crawling and always hated tummy time! He loves being on his feet and will happily walk holding our hands. However on Sunday he randomly put himself into the crawling position and just did it. I honestly thought he’d just never crawl. She might surprise you randomly like our boy did 😂

No interest here either, but my eldest didn’t crawl until 10 months so I’m not worried!

My son has been army crawling since 5.5 months- he doesn’t crawl properly, my friends baby was almost 11 months before he started crawling- I wouldn’t worry! Some babies just take their time and some are desperate to move. X

Birth thoughts

Hi guys.
I’m having a bit of a difficult time talking about my birth because I feel like I cheated it almost. It’s hard listening to other mamas stories and I feel like I didn’t do anything or much because of interventions. I had to be induced due to waters breaking and was put on the oxytocin drip - I then had the epidural because the contractions were crazy. They turned the drip off at some point because my body took over. Then the delivery… I ended up with an episiotomy and forceps. I just feel like I didn’t actually ‘give birth’ if that makes sense? Like I feel a bit embarrassed talking about it. Did anyone else have this feeling?

How do you survive the 4am contact-sleep shift? 🤯

How do you cope with the early morning shift with a baby who refuses to sleep anywhere but on you? 🫠😂

We currently do shifts - I’m on duty from 8:30pm to 4:30am, then my husband takes over from 4:30am to 8:30am so I can get some uninterrupted sleep.

The problem is baby basically stops sleeping in his cot from around 4am and will only sleep on us, so my husband ends up staying awake holding him until my shift is over. 🥲

Husband is going away for two nights for work soon, and I’m honestly wondering how on earth I’m going to manage those early mornings on my own! 😭

Mums who’ve been through this, how did you cope? Did your babies eventually grow out of it, or did you find anything that helped? Would love to hear your experiences! ❤️

Non Speaking

My Boy just turned 2 in September, my concern is that he still doesn't have any clear words, he points and gestures like hands me his empty bottle or grabs things he wants but doesn't verbally say anything... His hearing is fine I know that, he barely gets screen time either and I am trying my hardest to verbalize everything I do or repeat words when he wants something.. anybody else got this problem or advice?🫠

Speech Therapy

My LO had her 15 month ped appt and her ped said she should be saying 8-10 words…she is referring us to a speech therapist because she only says around 4-5 words (she babbles like crazy tho). FTM - should I be concerned? I thought every baby is different and develops speech at their own pace? Anyone in the same boat?

Help with night waking at 9 months

Any tips for getting my 9 month old to sleep through the night? He’s sleep trained and falls asleep independently, but still wakes up 3–4 times a night. What worked for you?
