Birthday party or something small

I'm in such a dilemma, he's our first so everyone (grandparents) keeps asking about throwing him a party.. initially I was thinking to have grandparents, ours sisters and nephew round in the evening for cake and food and just let him play around & take him to the aquarium in the morning & out for lunch just the 3 of us.

I feel like he will get overwhelmed with a party and then I'll be the one dealing with it. It won't be such a kids party as we don't have many children so it's more for the adults with like 10 kids ..

Everyone around us and in our culture throws a massive 1st birthday but I really cba for all the planning and then making sure the house is tidy as people will come over after and baby doesn't settle with anyone so I will have to have him the whole time. Will I regret not having a big party with extended family and friends?

I am also thinking as we live with my in-laws when we do have a place of our own I'm more inclined to do a small party with extended family for his future bdays.

Part of me does want to invite my close friends that have little ones but if I do that then I have to invite my husbands aunts&uncles (which is like 15 people) And then host them..

I really don't know what to do 😭😭
Please give me your advice ā™„ļøā™„ļø

We did a little get together for my eldest hes a december 22 baby. Weve done that for a few years. This year hell be 4 and thinking of throwing him a birthday party at a soft play with nursery friends. As weve also got my daughter who was meant to be a december baby but turned to november baby instead

Do what YOU want to do, not what everyone else wants you to do. He's your little one and if you feel he'll be overwhelmed with a big party then do what you think is best for him šŸ’™

Parties at this age are for family not the baby. I thinking about going to the aquarium and just inviting friends and family to join us there and stop at the cafe for cake rather than a full blown party. My first we had a HUGE BBQ, rented out a space and everything. It was an epic day but not ideal for a winter baby

We’re doing a meal with family the weekend before and then a little get together on his birthday for cake etc.

I would’ve loved a party but with taking a year off, we simply just can’t afford that on top of Christmas etc xx

Me and my partner have said we’re definitely gonna try for a spring/summer baby second time around so that we can utilise the garden for parties lmaošŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Pregnancy after c section

I can’t wait to get pregnant again, but has anyone gotten pregnant shortly after having a c section? The midwife told me to wait 2 years before I get pregnant again, however, that means I’d be 44 and I’m worried it might be a risky pregnancy.

Elective C-Section

I know emergency C-sections are quite common, but has anyone here chosen to have an elective, planned C-section? What was your experience? No judgements and rude comments please. This is a sensitive subject. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I’m considering having a planned C-section. Because I’m 41 and suffer from anxiety, I’m worried about the unpredictability of trying to give birth naturally at my age with the possibility of needing an emergency C-section in the end. I know it’s a major surgery that comes with a lot of risks, but it seems so much more controlled when planned in advance, which I find comforting.

Mrs. Zoey

My son loves her so much. She just like Mrs. Rachel but she African American! He shows the same interest as he does Mrs. Mrs . Rachel

Movements & Kicks! 🩵

Hey ladies! I’m currently 18 weeks (19 tomorrow) and I’ve been feeling baby boy tickling me for the last couple of weeks. I now think I am feeling him kicking me. I am just guessing that is what’s happening but I can’t even seem to catch him doing it! Anyone had this previously and has some advice with seeing baby kick? My FiancĆ© is desperate to see it and feel it but I have told him to be patient lol

Pain in lower abdomen

Is anyone experiencing similar… I’m getting a dull constant ache in my lower stomach, under my bump/in a similar position to where my c section scar is (although I don’t think it had anything to do with that)

It comes on when I stand up or walk around. I thought it could be round ligament paint however I’m pretty sure that’s more shooting and stabbing pains where this is a dull ache. I didn’t have this with my first pregnancy so it’s left me abit confused.

I have a midwife appt tomorrow so I’ll mention it then but wondered if anyone else has the same?!

(I also have a 14 month and wondered if it could be to do with picking her up etc)
