I can’t say for sure but it was that for me. Took it at 3 weeks 4 days post ovulation, it showed 1-2.

Yes it is true. It means you conceived 1-2 weeks ago, but the doctors start counting your pregnancy since ovulation or something like that, so it adds 2 weeks.

So, while conception happens after ovulation, sometimes we ovulate late/at weird times. And sometimes in weird ways... like in my case I "hyperovulated" meaning I released 2 eggs at once, and both are fertilized. This leads to fraternal twins (NOT identical- that's when the fertilized egg splits into two!).
So to have a more "standardized" way to medically count pregnancy gestation, they go by the first day of your last period. This way it's kind of a good general idea for every pregnancy. For example, I likely conceived my twins around May 18th this year. However, they count the start of my pregnancy from the first day of my last period, May 5th.
It isn't super common knowledge I'm learning, especially as I didn't even know it myself until maybe 2 months ago, but it is just a standardized way of measuring pregnancy, since all bodies are different! This also means that sometimes you can carry up to what is medically considered 42 weeks, and still be considered a normal and healthy pregnancy and birth at

Yes. The leaflet inside will tell you it measures since conception, whereas pregnancy is measured from first day of last period (LMP) for everything else
Heya! Was hoping someone with experience could help me figure out how hard it is to get approved for elective c-section in the UK. And could help me to build my case for it!
I am 2nd time pregnant after emergency c-section 2.5 years ago. I am only in my first trimester and so far don’t have any specific recommendation for c-section. However for various reasons I would like to request elective one this time.
My main reason is mental health and stressful birth experience. I was desperately trying to request c-section with my first by the end, but everyone just kept offering diverse interventions to avoid it, just to end up having c-section anyway, but unexpected and stressed.
I am also mum of a toddler now with no support group other than my husband around…I simply can’t afford to have relatives hang around for weeks waiting till I go into labor so they can look after my older son
Just looking to hear your experience of getting successfully approved 🙏 I had a first midwife appointment and she booked me with consultant to discuss it

I was just taken to the hospital by ambulance early this morning. I have never been in so much pain in my life. I woke up out of dead sleep to feeling like I was getting stabbed in my upper center stomach and someone was twisting the knife. I was screaming and throwing up and nothing was helping I couldn’t even get in the car for my fiancee to drive me so ems and cops had to come. They ended up giving me a low dose of fentanyl and it helped me so much. We did blood tests urine tests ultrasounds on my liver and gallbladder all for them to say “he must of just kicked you hard”. I’m 32 weeks pregnant and been feeling him kick me since 16 weeks. This was not that. I felt so dismissed something felt wrong I wasn’t hoping for something to be wrong but at least I would have gotten an answer to what caused me to be in that much pain. I feel okay now I’ve been sleeping all day but am so sore tired and scared it’s going to happen again. It was constant pain so wasn’t contractions. I just feel so defeated and can’t wait to never be pregnant again for the rest of my life.

Maybe I'm just freaking out more than usual today but looking at my bump pictures, it feels I haven't grown since 22 weeks and I'm 26.5 weeks. At 20 weeks I had to go back on a medication that is not recommended for pregnancy and one of the dangers is restricted uterine growth. My anxiety is just at an all time high today. Im not looking for anything. Just a safe space to get my concerns out. Im already being monitored extra.

Anyone had a c section and been told there are lots of adhesions to uterine wall? What did this mean for your future pregnancies? I've been told this but no further guidance and it took them a very long time to get to baby initially too

I want my husband to be able to feel the baby move but whenever he touches my belly baby stops moving 😂
Anything I can do to get baby to move more lol?
I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have a posterior placenta.
