How are we all sleeping?

I have a 3 week old who doesn’t seem to sleep more than 3 hrs at a time. After feeding, winding and settling down I have about 2hrs before she’s waking again for another feed, bum change, etc. she is refusing to settle with anyone else at the moment, so I’ve not been able to catch a break!

I’m having migraine attacks from the lack of sleep, and while the doctors have been able to provide me with medication for the pain, the practicalities of taking it and sleeping the migraines off just isn’t viable with a newborn.

Anyone else in the same boat and fancies crying with me?😂

I feel you girl as I'm typing this! I think it's just a developmental phase they are going through and hoping it'll pass in the next few weeks..!! Every now and again I've had a 4/5/6 hour stretch but mainly just 3 now and shorter as it gets earlier into the AM. Just focusing on bedtime routine and getting that nailed and not having bubs go to bed overtired

My daughter is 5 weeks old and she was sleeping 2-3 hours at a time too and still does. Every now and then she goes a little longer, which the pediatrician said is okay because she has now surpassed her birth weight. She is usually constantly feeding, getting her diaper changed and wants to be carried most of the time if she’s not sleeping. I have had broken sleep since even when I was pregnant and it’s just gotten worse now lol. Lack of sleep has also been making me moody to say the least. There are a few times I can sleep a little longer for whatever reason but I completely feel you lol.

At 11 months she can sleep for 5 hrs and waking for a bottle then going back to sleep.

Do you have a partner who would be willing to take over a feed if you pumped? You could also look into safe co sleeping, keep a diaper station in the bedroom, etc

😩😩 my daughter just turned 1 month old and when I tell you I’m getting no sleep I mean it, she will not sleep in her bassinet at all at this point, the only way she stays asleep is laying on me or my boyfriend 😩😩 he works early AM so I’m literally up with her allllll night, I try and try to put her down and she will stay asleep for maybe 30mins before getting fussy 😩😩 and I have a 2yo who’s been regressing after having the baby as well so I’m so drained and wish my baby would stay asleep in her bassinet for atleast 2 hrs at a time lol still very hard for sure but damn how I would devour those 2hrs of sleep lol

Advice! Blood in babies poo!

Looking for advice!!!!

Hi, I’m looking for advice and wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar.

My little girl is 14 weeks old and exclusively breastfed. She went 3 days without pooing, during which she was straining a lot and screaming in pain when trying to go. I tried belly and foot massages, and eventually, on day 3 (Tuesday), she managed to go. She completely filled her nappy and then went another 6 times that day, 4 of which contained fresh red blood.

On Wednesday, she pooed another 5 times, with blood in one of them. I took her to the doctors, who said blood in babies’ poo can sometimes be normal. Doctor said she looked well, she also had no temperature or vomiting, and they didn’t suspect an infection, but sent off a stool sample to rule it out. This has since come back negative.

Yesterday she seemed more settled but wasn’t feeding properly, frequently unlatching. I also pump twice a day, so I tried offering expressed milk in a bottle, but she wouldn’t take that either.

Today has been much the same. She’s been really unsettled, still not feeding properly from either breast or bottle, skipping feeds completely or latching and unlatching constantly. This morning she was screaming in pain, then pooed and settled a little. However, this evening she’s had another small poo with some blood in it. Her poo has also been really mucusy, almost like snot.

I’m planning to take her back to the doctors on Monday, unless she gets worse or things continue like this tomorrow the I will take her to hospital.

I’m already struggling with postnatal anxiety, so this has been really worrying me. Has anyone else’s baby experienced anything similar?

She’s had plenty of wet nappies but despite this I’m still concerned as she’s not feeding good at all.

Also not sure if it’s linked but the other night 3.5 hours after a feed, whilst she was sleeping she started choking/gargling really quietly, I picked her up, patted her back and it resolved but no sick or anything came out.

Sorry for the long post and the pics, just desperate for advice.

Toddlers when outdoor - control?

Hello,

Does anyone else’s toddler want to roam free without holding your hand when in public. I.e outdoors/ shopping centres etc. mine refuses to hold my hand and when in the pram will literally scream and continue screaming even if it’s for a full 30 minutes straight. Oh boy, the stares I get are unbearable and make me feel like I’m a shit mum. I have no idea how to help her or with this situ. Any advice or tips greatly appreciated.

Nappy Cream

My daughter’s nursery have requested we keep a nappy cream in their bag that doesn’t contain any nut oil (I usually use bepanthen but that contains almond oil so isn’t allowed). Any recommendations, don’t want sudocream

My husband affects my mental health

I do my best to have patience and manage the person he is. It’s tough but lately it’s just been very stressful. Anything I ask of him he responds something that I did or didn’t do. Our arguments lately he brings up my parents and their flaws and how I am with my parents. Is that okay??

At wits end with 12 week old

Nights are hell. Eg we started trying to put him to sleep at 8:30 and he slept at 11pm (yday was midnight) Bear IN MIND WE COSLEEP SO IMAGINE IF WE DIDNT. he woke up at 12 so only slept 1h and we’ve been trying to put him down ever since. It’s now 2:30. We’re both in pain from rocking him for hours and exhausted. Health issues are covered. Doesn’t have cmpa- trialled already. Has reflux - on gaviscon and omeprazole. We want to give up. Don’t know what to do anymore.

Milk supply dropping!

Hey girlies!!💖💖

Has anyone else had issues with there milk supply dropping around the 5 month mark? I’ve never been someone who has a good supply but could always do about 4oz in about a 15 minute pump to this last week barely making 2oz!

Any advice? What have you done to boost your supply or is this the end of my breastfeeding journey?

( I mainly exclusively breastfeed. But occasionally use formula if I haven’t pumped enough for the nighttime bottle) 🍼

Thankyou💖💖💖
