How do you handle the pressure to constantly do activities?

I see so many mums keeping a packed daily schedule, and it makes me feel guilty that I don't do the same for my 9 weeks old daughter. Do you feel like your baby needs constant out-of-the-home stimulation, or is a slower, quieter routine at home just as good?

I remind myself that I'm doing the best I can for my baby. She doesn't need anything crazy. Go at your own flow.

I have a 7 week old and I just stay at home with her. Only just booked in a baby massage to start in a couple weeks but I won't be packing my schedule to fit more things in.

A slower, quieter routine at home is just as good, mami 🤗 U do not need to have a packed daily schedule to be a good mum. That does not define you! U be unapologetically YOU without the unholy trinity of blame, guilt and shame.

Being present for and with your child is what matters the most for them. No packed schedule of activities or the lack thereof will ever replace u showing up for him/her 🙌

You sooo got this 👏

My daughter is 6 weeks, she is my second. Monday and Tuesdays my eldest is at nursery so we usually have a quiet few days. The rest of the week we usually have plans or go out purely because my 3 year old would go crazy 🤣 with my first I had bad PND so getting out was hard but there is something really nice about the quiet slow days because before you know there are bombing around, have long wake windows and your quiet time is gone 🤣

Aw! Your baby is 9 weeks old. She’ll just love staring at your face and playing with her playmat, doing some tummy time and little walks looking at trees. Don’t overthink it, I bet she’s a happy little soul 🩷

This is my second baby and he just comes along with me whatever I need to do for his sister lol, during wake windows we obviously talk to him and he plays on his little mat and his big sister ‘plays’ with him but we dont do anything at all ‘activity’ wise lol these early days are the only time you dont need to entertain them, they are just happy little potatoes who want fed and snuggled and they dont need anything else! They actually get overstimulated very easily

If it stresses you out and makes things harder for you then its not necessary for your baby, as they get older you will find activities you can do and want to do at home or find a group where they do things you can either copy at home or just do at group lol
Happy mom, a happy baby x

My 6 weeks old is my second. 3 days a week my toddler is at nursery, so we definitely have quiet days at home, or sometimes I'll pop out to the shops. The rest of the week she gets dragged along with a toddler. You are fine, what you're doing is absolutely fine. I felt so much pressure with my first baby, I feel sorry for myself when I look back. There's so much information and pressure online, all these posts in perfect beige nurseries with day full of activities - most of them are probably fake.. anyways, this time I'm definitely much more relaxed.

Hey girls. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and having a couple of symptoms.
Please tell me if you think this could be early labour?

- period like pains at the bottom of my belly.
- feeling sick. Gone off food slightly.
- lost my mucus plug 3 days ago

Last min C-section

Hey mamas! I was getting induced at 39 weeks since baby is big. The induction itself last over 30 hours and the doctor then suggested it turn into a c-section delivery. It was the most mortifying experience ever, being deliriously drugged up and in pain for such a long period of time, then being told the initial operation was unsuccessful.

Now I’m about 6 days post-partum and healing at home. Any mamas have advice on whether scar cream is necessary? Is it that effective? Which one did you use?

Any advice to speed up recovery?

Thanks!
