Hey mamas! I was getting induced at 39 weeks since baby is big. The induction itself last over 30 hours and the doctor then suggested it turn into a c-section delivery. It was the most mortifying experience ever, being deliriously drugged up and in pain for such a long period of time, then being told the initial operation was unsuccessful.
Now I’m about 6 days post-partum and healing at home. Any mamas have advice on whether scar cream is necessary? Is it that effective? Which one did you use?
Any advice to speed up recovery?
Thanks!

Honestly didn't find any helpful and OB didn't recommend it. Mine hasn't itched or anything. By the time the dressing came off the incision was healed. I feel more weird in my tummy still and im 5 months post c section. Best thing I can say is just keep it dry and keep on top of painkillers.

Well first congratulations on your baby. Also a c-Section momma 4 weeks post op. Any scar creams will tell you not to use them until you're healed. I'm four weeks out and just started using a cream cause. I no longer have open wounds. I use earth momma cream at night and the frida scar tape during the day. The scar tape helps stop your cloths from rubbing and you can reuse them and wear them in the shower. The cream is very strong smelling but my friend who had a c section years ago swears by it.
Ofc I have only been using it for a couple days but I do already see improvement

What do you mean the operation was unsuccessful?
I've never used any scar cream or scar tapes after either of my c sections, but once your incision has healed fully (6+ weeks) I would definitely recommend scar massage and deep abdominal exercise to heal the ab separation and reduce any shelf that you might develop/reduce numbness.
Does anyone still get their cravings they had when they were pregnant, at like 4m pregnant I craved a hot dog specially on a grill, I’m now 11m pp and I still crave one till this day, I never say no to a grilled hotdog lol

Should I be worried? I read a post about this could be a sign that the hCG wasn’t rising and the pregnancy wasn’t developing. Has anyone else heard this? Or can It be normal? My other two pregnancies I have had mild nausea and the first one some slight sickness and just generally feeling groggy. This time I hardly feel pregnant apart from intense hunger and extreme fatigue 🤷🏽♀️

Hey girls. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and having a couple of symptoms.
Please tell me if you think this could be early labour?
- diarrhoea. (5/6 times a day)
- period like pains at the bottom of my belly.
- feeling sick. Gone off food slightly.
- lost my mucus plug 3 days ago
I’m honestly not sure 😂😩

I see so many mums keeping a packed daily schedule, and it makes me feel guilty that I don't do the same for my 9 weeks old daughter. Do you feel like your baby needs constant out-of-the-home stimulation, or is a slower, quieter routine at home just as good?
