Bed time for a 2 month old!

Hi all! What time does everyone put their 2 month olds to bed?!? I’m finding by 7.30/8 she’s really fussing. No matter what we do, we could rock her to sleep downstairs and she’d sleep for a minute and wake up crying again. The past few days she’s gone to bed around 8.30 after a battle for an hour, sometimes slightly longer- And she is lights out! But is that too early? She isn’t up at the crack of dawn crying either! I just don’t want to feel I’m forcing too much sleep but honestly nothing we do settles her in the evening until she goes to bed! This is my first baby and bed times confuse me. Thankyou xx

Honestly just do whatever works! Mine tends to sleep for the ‘night’ ie the longest stretch, at 10.30pm so thats when we all go to bed. He usually feeds loads from 8-10pm in the lead up! My toddler is usually asleep at 8.30pm so this kind of works at the min. At this age it doesnt really matter tbh its whatever suits you

We go by feeding cues, its usually anywhere between 9pm and 11pm.
He'll have his bottle at like 6 or 7pm, then have a small wake window. We'll have a contact nap for a couple hours, or as long as he wants, he will not go down at all in this period.
And then as soon as he starts to stir, we get the next bottle ready, take him to bed, change him, and put him in sleeping bag for that bottle which he falls asleep on and we can easily put him down in next2me then.

Research witching hours in babies. It’s a thing. 8.30pm-11pm my dreamy little boy turns into an absolute demon, found some really good tips online tho xx

Breastfeeding or Bottle feeding?

I'm curious to hear people's experiences and perspectives on breastfeeding versus formula feeding.

For those who chose to breastfeed, what were the main reasons behind your decision? And for those who chose formula feeding, what influenced your choice?

For those who've done both, or switched from one to the other, I'd love to hear about that experience too.

Was it personal preference, health reasons, convenience, the bonding aspect, feeding challenges, or something else entirely?

I'm genuinely interested in understanding the different reasons behind people's choices and experiences. No judgement whatsoever – just curious to hear different perspectives, particularly as I'm navigating my own feeding journey at the moment.

How soon after giving birth did you start going out with baby ?

Baby is only a few days old and hubby is doing drop off and stuff with the toddler so these no rush for me to go out but not sure when I fancy going out!

ITS ALWAYS MY FAULT

So I've noticed a pattern when it comes to my baby daddy.
If he don't remember
Failed to notice
Didn't understand
Didnt check
Failed to act
IT SOMEHOW BECOMES MY FAULT
When I try to accommodate his messed up perspective he calls me or my actions dumb. I don't ever feel like arguing with him cause he'll never listen cause HES "I KNOW IM RIGHT" type person
THEN HE'S ALWAYS SCREAMING ABOUT WOMEN ONLY WANTING OBEDIENCE FROM MEN

Extremely sensitive baby

Struggling at the moment with baby getting very over stimulated when we go out anywhere. Little one is 8 months and has always been very sensitive and gets overstimulated easily. She is breastfed so boob has always been her comfort, but recently she refuses to feed when out and about because shes so distracted with the world, but then has full blown meltdowns because shes hungry/tired. I've tried nursing covers, moving to a quieter place, giving her something to fiddle with but nothing seems to work and I feel completely lost that i'm not able to calm her down and comfort her with boob. We went to our first playgroup today, something I've avoided until now due to my own social anxiety and although it was lovely, I came away feeling really upset and defeated because as much as I know every baby is different, its heartbreaking seeing every other baby happy, smiling and playing or breastfeeding like a dream when my baby spent the entire time wanting to be cuddled and rocked and then had to leave early because she was getting upset from all the noise and was tired but unable to sleep.
She will be starting nursery in a few months and i'm really worried that she wont settle well there as shes always been a terrible napper, very clingy with me and has gotten very used to 1 on 1 play, whereas the nursery she will be going to has 1 staff member per 3 children. I desperately want to enjoy the last little bit of my maternity leave and have lots of fun with her out and about, and also get her used to busier environments and different faces but recently every time we have gone out she has got so upset and I feel guilty. We just had 2 lovely chilled days at home and she was the happiest she's ever been so i feel torn!
Ot doesnt really help that unfortunately we've had several people comment on how grumpy she is or be judgemental about how we 'pander' to her and its amplified my anxiety so much and made me feel like a really crappy mum.
Has anyone else who has experienced a super grumpy/sensitive baby got any tips for going out? When did it start to get better? And how did you ease the transition into nursery?

Awake periods

How many hours are your 7 week olds awake in a 24 hour period? I feel like my baby boy is sleeping too much.

6pm Naps?!

My little girl (15 weeks) has started falling asleep for what would be her 3rd nap of the day (normally) at around 5:30/6pm. 😴 I’ve been working on winding her down from 7pm - bath, feed, bed, but when she actually decides to fall asleep is anyone’s guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The last two nights she has taken a lot longer to settle, and I’m pointing the finger at this 6pm nap that she seems to desperately need. I don’t want to keep her awake and overtired, so would moving her bedtime to 6pm work or potentially bite me in the backside during the night/early hours? Generally she only wakes once between 2 and 4am for a feed/change. 🤞🏼

I’m well aware the 4 month regression is potentially round the corner anyway so I might be deeping this unnecessarily, but any tips are welcome!
