How many days have you booked your baby into a nursery per week? I noticed that (because nursery is so bloody expensive) a lot of people put them in 3 days a week, but what do you do on the other two days if both of you are working?? Comment below!
I signed him up for 3 days a week and now panicking as I’m current job hunting and not sure how I can get one that’s 3 days a week.

3 days a week. Monday he will be with my MIL, Tuesday I'm off and then he's in nursery Weds to Fri. I feel a block of days for nursery is better than splitting it up so he keeps momentum of going 😅

Make sure to look at the 30 free hours government scheme. It will help reduce your payments!

We’re doing 4 afternoons a week. I work from home and I’m off on Fridays

I’m working on shift 223 so one week baby will be in nursery 2 days and then other week 3 days.
Have to pay for 5 days though as each week is different 😒 (one week Monday Tuesday and Friday and then other week Wednesday and Thursday)

I agreed with my manager that I’ll take every Monday off in 2027 to look after my daughter and my husband will do the same with Tuesdays and when his holidays are finished, he will WFH and look after her

Mines in 2 days a week currently whilst im in office
The rest is work from home where possible (as long as no meetings i can work whenever I want)
My partner is home 4pm
So from 4 till 7/8pm im working solidly and he does the night dinner bath bed routine as he misses his baby during the day 🥲
Ill soon be increasing to 3 days a week depending on my health and things and finances (even with 30 hours free a week I still pay 150£ a month on top 😂🤣) and onsite presence needs

We're fortunate enough to have family able to look after him so doing couple days of nursery and couple days being looked after by family, and I have enough annual leave accrued to make it so I work 3/4 days for a couple months. It's rough if you haven't got any help but totally normal to send your child 5 days if you need to!

3 days at nursery, then I’m having a Tuesday off and my mum will be having him on a Thursday x

You're most likely unlikely to get a full time salary on 4 days unless you'll be working 5 days in 4 day, so longer days etc.

I've cut down to 4 days doing 32hrs. First day back is 16th and my little boy will go 2 days a week until January when he gets the funded hours and will go 3 days a week.
I had a dental cleaning appointment today. I walked into the dental office with my 5 month old infant in the stroller only to be told they couldn’t accommodate him. Then they said I didn’t have an appointment at that time anymore. It was cancelled without my knowledge. I asked why because I had received a text on my phone regarding the appointment. Apparently, I was supposed to confirm before coming and because I did not, they cancelled my appointment. I made a mental note to never return to the same establishment.
I was upset it was cancelled and yes I was upset they didn’t want my well-behaved child in their office. They were sort of rude about it. That’s how I felt when they said they cancelled my appointment when I said I could reschedule but it was not necessary as it was cancelled. I didn’t get a text saying it was cancelled. I also get a lot of texts, emails, and calls. It takes a lot out of me to respond to everything. I don’t have help with my son. As a mother, it also took a lot out of me to drive there with an infant and show up. It’s not easy to lug a child around everywhere and still have time to self. I realized most establishments are not friendly to people with children. Workplaces especially. It’s hard to function with a kid and everything needs to be planned out in advance.
No wonder our birth rates are declining…
My kid started daycare this week only to be told he was potentially exposed to RSV on his very first day. So I didn’t send him to the daycare and instead took him with me to my dental appointment this time.

Does anyone else feel like if their baby is awake their crying? Even feeding is a nightmare and he cries throughout it just taking a couple sips at a time. Doctors and health visitors say he's fine as gaining weight and just to ride it out basically but it's so difficult! I'm jealous of all the mums that can take their babies out for walks etc., I can't as he'll just cry and by the time I've finished the cycle of a nap (always contact nap), feed and finally get him to stop crying etc he wants to sleep again, it's making me feel so isolated. Are any other mums in the same boat? How do you cope?! I can't even eat for most of the day or get anything done in the house until my partner gets home as hes either sleeping on me or feeding or having a meltdown. I feel so guilty all the time and also feel robbed of the experience of these early months. I know there's probably no solution, I guess I just need a vent or not feel so alone :(

My daughter is 17 months old and may I mention that just because she’s a girl it doesn’t make it any easier, girl or boy. Toddlers are hard work!!
I want to check in with all toddler mums because I know for a fact I’m not the only mum that’s sitting in a corner pulling their hair out 😂
Took my daughter to rhyme time today at the library and the first 15 minutes were great, she was going up to everyone and said hi, was just really happy until she wanted to escape and leave the library, it was awful. All the mums were looking at me in horror as I pick her up to take her back into the library and she screamed, scratched my face, threw a toy at my face and was hitting me with full force 🥲my child is genuinely so feral I can’t take her there anymore.
I got home and gave her a nap and then I went downstairs to just cry because it was super overwhelming, the stacks of washing that need doing, the endless tasks of needing to go back out and grab things, on top of a little madam that isn’t having her day today. All of it just got ontop of me, I handle things quite well but today it’s felt impossible.
Reality of having a little girl who is so on it, it can be so exhausting.
How has everyone else’s day gone so far? How are we coping?

Woke up this morning to my naked 2 year old standing on top of me, look over at the side of the bed to see a full on shit on my bedroom carpet, it’s on my bed covers🤢🤢 and his jammies in the hall🙃🙃
Tips and tricks welcome for a very unprepared mum😳

Is anyone else’s husband/boyfriend terrible at soothing the baby? I keep feeling like I need to let them work it out but at the same time I can see they are both having an awful time and it’s hard not to intervene. I hate seeing baby crying and he instantly stops when I grab him, but I also know I need to let my husband learn to deal with it so it is really hard to know what to do.

I’m genuinely so sick and fkn tired of bonfire night they srsly need to ban fireworks in residential areas, there are firework shows everywhere why tf don’t people just go to them. Idk how my toddler is going to sleep, my cat is absolutely terrified all for these tramps to look at gunpowder in the fkn sky
