The crying never stops and I'm at breaking point

Does anyone else feel like if their baby is awake their crying? Even feeding is a nightmare and he cries throughout it just taking a couple sips at a time. Doctors and health visitors say he's fine as gaining weight and just to ride it out basically but it's so difficult! I'm jealous of all the mums that can take their babies out for walks etc., I can't as he'll just cry and by the time I've finished the cycle of a nap (always contact nap), feed and finally get him to stop crying etc he wants to sleep again, it's making me feel so isolated. Are any other mums in the same boat? How do you cope?! I can't even eat for most of the day or get anything done in the house until my partner gets home as hes either sleeping on me or feeding or having a meltdown. I feel so guilty all the time and also feel robbed of the experience of these early months. I know there's probably no solution, I guess I just need a vent or not feel so alone :(

Honestly I was the same. He was so miserable and I tried all the colic treatments switched to comfort milk you name it.

Turned out he had cmpa and since he’s switched milk he’s a different kid.

He was gaining weight even thought he was sick etc so I was dismissed at first. I think if your gut says something is wrong just keep pushing.

It’s so hard when they cry and cry and it never ends but I promise it will get better. Either you’ll find out what is wrong or he will grow out of it! You’ve got this.

Just hang in there. My cry baby is turning 18 in 2 days. Get a wrap or sling and carry him around. Hugs

My 1st child was the same as a baby, and cried the ENTIRE time and i felt like the whole 12months of my mat leave he just cried, it was unbearable. I had and still have no idea why he was so unhappy. He did get better around 6-12months old i dont have any tips but you arent alone and its a totally different ball game with an unsettled baby , dont do it alone and ask for help to get breaks, my mental health really got impacted and I wish id asked for help .. its so difficult so I feel for you and its stuck with me 4 yrs later.😥

My baby is nearly 10 weeks and has been on and off like this the whole time, doesn’t like slings or carriers either, barely wants to be put down for a nappy change, my partner comes home from work, holds him and baby stares at me the whole time and then cries. He literally comes to the bathroom and everything, went out yesterday for the first time alone just me and baby since he’s been born and he was fine being pushed around but as soon as I went somewhere and stopped he cried and I had to hold him. Even trick or treating (with my nephews) being pushed around, cried and ended up having to carry him half way round and someone had to push the pram for me 🤦🏼‍♀️ makes me not want to leave the house especially alone,

What do you do for YOU?

Im partly here to vent, hear your opinions, and figure myself out. It’s kind of long, sorry in advance.

Backstory…prior to kids my husband always played soccer in a rec league once or twice a week plus go to the gym at least 4 times a week. He also would always watch games during football season. He gets season passes every year with his dad. He’s continued doing these things after having kids.

I started thinking, “what am I doing that I used to do before kids?” And I can’t think of anything. I used to read a lot but now I can’t find the joy in reading anymore.

Another thing that happened that brought me to this point was that I was having a conversation with my husband. I asked him how the game was (he had just gotten back from watching the Rams play). He answered and that was the end of the convo. I said, “you don’t care to ask me how my day was?” And he responded with ,”well you do the same thing every day. So I’m sure nothing different happened.” (Ouch, but it’s so true)

I cook, clean, watch the kids. That’s all I have energy to do. I don’t mind it but I want to find joy in something that’s outside the house.

What makes you ladies happy? What hobbies do you that’s outside of your sahm bubble?

Are most dental offices not kid friendly

I had a dental cleaning appointment today. I walked into the dental office with my 5 month old infant in the stroller only to be told they couldn’t accommodate him. Then they said I didn’t have an appointment at that time anymore. It was cancelled without my knowledge. I asked why because I had received a text on my phone regarding the appointment. Apparently, I was supposed to confirm before coming and because I did not, they cancelled my appointment. I made a mental note to never return to the same establishment.
I was upset it was cancelled and yes I was upset they didn’t want my well-behaved child in their office. They were sort of rude about it. That’s how I felt when they said they cancelled my appointment when I said I could reschedule but it was not necessary as it was cancelled. I didn’t get a text saying it was cancelled. I also get a lot of texts, emails, and calls. It takes a lot out of me to respond to everything. I don’t have help with my son. As a mother, it also took a lot out of me to drive there with an infant and show up. It’s not easy to lug a child around everywhere and still have time to self. I realized most establishments are not friendly to people with children. Workplaces especially. It’s hard to function with a kid and everything needs to be planned out in advance.
No wonder our birth rates are declining…
My kid started daycare this week only to be told he was potentially exposed to RSV on his very first day. So I didn’t send him to the daycare and instead took him with me to my dental appointment this time.

First dentist appointment

How old was your little one when you decided to take them to their first dentist appointment? And what did they do during the appointment?

Weaning refusal!

Baby girl is just over 7 months old and refuses every form of food I offer her. I’ve tried purées where I hand feed her, offering her the spoon to do herself, offered finger foods on a tray to explore and try but she won’t entertain any of it.
She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth apart from food!
She’ll moan and mouth her hands after I’ve offered her the food as she’s hungry and will then cry until I give her milk (she’s breastfed).
I’m trying not to put any pressure on her and keep meal times fun and light.
Any ideas/tips on helping her transition and try food??
TIA ! X
