Are everyone’s babies getting 12-16 hours of sleep in a 24hr period? I can’t get my daughter to sleep more than 10-11 hours in a 24hr period including her daytime naps.. I’m not sure what to do or how to get her to sleep more during daytime.

Hi. Does she have a routine set every night?

My baby turns 20 weeks tomorrow - she's getting around 12–13.5 hours of sleep per 24 hours, including daytime naps and overnight sleep. Her day time naps only tend to last 30-40 mins. Average total amount of daytime sleep is 2.5 hours, average total amount of nighttime sleep is 10.5 hours
If her naps are lasting 30-40 mins, how often are you putting her down for naps? Every hour and a half? Cause she’s doing a 1-1.5hrs nap in the morning, a 1.5-2hrs nap after lunch and then a 1hr nap in the afternoon and 30 mins nap late afternoon/evening- and she sleeps between 6-8 hours in the night … but that’s still not enough.. but she doesn’t show any signs of fatigue everytime I put her down for naps.. and she’ll cry for 10-15 mins when I try to put her down to sleep ..

I would speak to a medical professional if you’re really worried. There’s such a huge range of “normal”. Look at how shes eating, her wake windows, does she seem content? Wet and soiled nappies - how often are they. Those are also important. My baby is 11 weeks and she sleeps 14 hours on average most days which is the lower end apparently .. some 24 hour period it’s 13. I give her opportunities to nap regularly in the day but sometimes they’re just cat naps so sometimes total for 2.5-3 hours and that’s the lower end. I also was really worried and often felt I was doing something wrong. We try and wake her and bedtime around the same time and that seems to help and even things out but during the day it’s always different. I think just be as responsive to her needs as possible and if you’re concerned reach out to a midwife or GP or a health visitor. I think speaking to them is always reassuring!
What does your sex life look like now after kids? My husband and I are still quite active, mind you it took a little bit for my drive to come back. But I feel like the more effort I put in (wearing lingerie or surprising him) the quicker my sex drive was able to come back. Curious what others are doing/ feeling about it.

I am 99% sure I am suffering with postnatal depression, I have a 5 month old and I just don’t want to live anymore, I convince myself he would be better without me and I can’t help but feel like everything I do is wrong and I constantly worry about him even though I’m the one who has lost 3 stone in weight and am physically and mentally so unwell.
I worry if I speak to my GP or a health visitors they will take him from me. I’m also a single mum. Has anyone got any experience ? Or know any support.

I am 4 weeks into the 4 month sleep regression and I’m really struggling to cope with the hourly wake ups. I’m willing to do anything to make our nights better, is sleep training recommended during the regression? If so, what methods worked for you? I don’t want to do CIO method. Any suggestions so welcomed!

My hearts breaking for my 10 month old, he started daycare nursery 2 weeks ago and hates it, he cries uncontrollably when I drop him off and he’s still upset when I pick him up. The staff say he won’t eat a lot, drink or sleep and I’m really worried 😔Has this happened others how long did it take your baby to settle?
