Breastfeeding to sleep

How long as your baby needed to be breastfed to sleep or has your baby naturally self soothed without needing to be nursed to sleep. My baby is 4mo and only knows either breast or dummy to fall asleep and will not go down without either one . Had one night and day of trying to get him to sleep without either and it was a total disaster and I was crying as much as he was. I don’t think I’m strong enough to do CIO method and I don’t want to have do that. I feel physically sick thinking that the only way to get him to sleep without associating it with nursing is CIO. :(

Any experiences in this area ?

My first nursed to sleep with me until 25 months but dad could get him to sleep fine at night when I returned to work at 12 months. They all grow out of it eventually.

Why do you need to stop feeding him to sleep? You absolutely don’t need to sleep train.

My second baby I’ve improved his sleep tenfold just by adjusting his wake windows and daytime naps. Went from waking hourly or less to 2-3 wakes a night. Didn’t change a thing else still feed back to sleep at every wake x

My first I fed to sleep through the night until 14 months and carries on a bedtime feed until 20 months. But my husband could get him down if I wasn't there.

My second is 5 months and I currently feed to sleep x

I have an almost 6mo who I feed to sleep. And his sleep is atrocious. This week 11+ wakes a night.

I like feeding to sleep but I have the same fears as you. Plus my LO has always been awful to transfer to the cot. Co sleeping isn’t helping and he will have to move to big cot soon.

I’m trying what Yasmin suggests and starting to lengthen wake windows although my LO does get extremely grouchy. But I’m getting desperate.

4m is still soo young. A proper proper baby. I completely disagree with the CIO (assuming it it means cry it out?)
But that’s my opinion. I don’t believe for one second a baby should be going to sleep in distress when they have no idea and only know comfort.

This is my 2nd and I grew up with lots of kids around + my mother was a childminder and we strongly believe kids can always be trained out of dummies and to get better at bedtime later on. My baby will go to sleep comfortable and calm as long as I can whether that be by me or dummy. Suckling is comfort for them. Why wouldn’t you allow it? Some babies are better or worse than others, I’d try extending your last wake window if you can. Don’t worry about getting baby into bad habits at this stage, they change so much and there will be good one month and crap the next lol. Go easy on yourself x

The nights when I don’t feed my toddler to sleep are the worst! I'm always thankful when he nods off on the boob because otherwise it's another hour of him performing his latest trick/jump/song etc. He is 3! His sibling just gradually got used to having milk then settling down with cuddles on her own timeline.

Double pushchair

Can anybody recommend a double pushchair please that’s not too expensive please I’ve had the silver cross wayfarer but it’s just so heavy now I need
Rid and the seats are small for my 3 year old.
I have a 2 year old and a 3 nearly 4 year old, I don’t know whether it’s worth just getting a single and a buggy board as my 3 year old will still use the pushchair if we’re out a while. Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you xx

Clothes question

Ladies recently my little boys clothes have been having random yellow stains on them noticable after a wash idk if im putting the wash on too long or if its the spit up from milk thats causing it as its only around his shoulders or neck where the spit up may have happened that day, no issues with the trousers just frustrating to why it might be happening, has this happened to anyone before?

Angry and upset with social services

Social services have been a part of my life for a while. For the last year we have just been getting the tick boxes ticked. They have zero concerns its "just the process" well they said that our next meeting (today) theyd likely close our case because everything is done. Nope, wrong! Theyve given new goal posts. I am so annoyed! Its taking precious time i have on my day off with my daughter because they keep adding new goal posts (which they've been officially told off for doing 5 times in the past).

I just want them out my life. Im sick and tired of sitting with them every 3 weeks going all finez nothing new, all is well. Shes thriving. Because thats litrally been my life for 12 months. But they keep changing our senior worker and they are the ones that keep adding new goal posts. I just want to scream! My daughter also hates our newest social worker. She hides from her saying mummy i no like, make her leave in a whisper.

My 8 month old has no sleep routine nor eats 😅

Any mamas with babies aged 6 months + who have absolutely no sleep routine and just sleep whenever they want?😅 I’ve tried everything to establish a routine, but nothing seems to work, what works is following her lead and waiting till she gets tired, I’m curious to know if this is what other mamas do or if they have a strict wine down routine and how they implement this? Also, my little one barely eats and is still on purees but some days she won’t eat at all, some days 5 spoons because anything with a thicker texture makes her vomit as one time she had vomit through her nose and mouth😩 I’m also terrified of baby led weaning because of choking, so weaning has been stressful! She is constantly teething though so that could be a reason, at 8 months she has 6 teeth 😂 I keep seeing these babies eat full on 3 meals and snacks by 8 months and I feel like I’m failing 🥺 Any advice or tips for babies with strong stubborn personalities who like doing everything on their own terms? Xx
