Am I asking for too much?

Posting anonymously because this is a really sensitive topic, but I’m wondering if any other wives or moms have experienced something similar in their marriage.

My husband and I used to have sex almost every day, and now we’ve gone nearly six months without any intimacy. It’s been incredibly difficult for me, both physically and emotionally.

Recently, during an argument, my husband asked me, “Did I marry a piece of meat?” He says I’m transactional when it comes to our marriage and that all I want is to get laid, and then I’m happy. He feels that I’m only respectful, loving, and caring toward him when I’m getting what I want sexually.

I’ll admit that I told him things were different when we were having sex regularly, and I can understand how that might have sounded hurtful. But for me, sex has always been more than just sex. It’s about feeling desired, wanted, loved, and connected to my husband. And yes, I genuinely enjoy sex and miss that physical part of our relationship, too.

I don’t want him to feel obligated to have sex with me, but I also don’t want to feel ashamed for wanting intimacy with my own husband.

I feel like we’ve gone from being passionate about each other to feeling like roommates, and it’s honestly heartbreaking.

Have any of you ladies gone through something similar? Have you ever been made to feel like wanting sex with your husband is wrong, or been accused of only being loving because you want something in return? How did you navigate it? Did things ever get better?

I’m genuinely looking for other women’s experiences, not judgment. ❤️

Ok, i just gave birth six months ago, before i got pregnant me and my partner do it everyday, after giving birth we only did it one time that was when the baby turned 2 months old after that nothing at all. I wasn't complaining because i thought we both tired and exhausted. But then i found out that he was taking a woman in to his mom's house and had sex with that woman multiple times.

My husband and I have dealt with this as he gets older. His psych meds also affect his libido. I still really want him, so it's been a struggle feeling like he mostly does it for me. It does make me feel less desired, a bit more distant. We spoke to an LMFT and got help communicating about how his lower libido isn't about me, and my feelings are understandable but unfounded. It's a work in progress but we have found ways to compromise and communicate our feelings around it without making it about accusations and feeling resentful. Ultimately we still love each other deeply and want to make the other happy, and as long as we're both still meeting each other at the work bench, I feel it's worth the effort.

Tteokbokki

I made gyudon (Japanese beef bowl), but it felt a bit heavy/greasy, so I was craving something spicy and refreshing! So, I'm having tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cakes) for my meal

Ingredients
Rice or wheat cakes (Tteok): 100g
Ramen noodles: 1/2 pack (or a whole pack if you prefer, just add about 1/2 cup extra water)
Square fish cake: 1 sheet (cut into bite-sized pieces)
Cabbage: 1 large leaf (thinly shredded lengthwise)
Onion: 1/4 (sliced)
Carrot: a small handful (thinly sliced into ribbons or strips, approx. 20g)
Water: 400ml (approx. 1.7 cups)
Sauce Ingredients
Gochujang (Korean chili paste): 1 heaping tbsp
Gochugaru (Korean chili powder): 0.5 – 1 tbsp (adjust for extra kick)
Sugar: 1 tbsp
Soy sauce: 0.5 tbsp (balances the extra moisture from veggies and noodles)
Corn syrup or oligodang: 0.5 tbsp (for the signature glossy finish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the broth & carrots
In a shallow pot, add 400ml of water along with the gochujang (1 tbsp), gochugaru (0.5–1 tbsp), sugar (1 tbsp), and soy sauce (0.5 tbsp). Whisk well to dissolve the paste. Add the sliced carrots first, then bring the broth to a boil.
2. Add rice cakes, onions, cabbage & fish cakes
Once the broth boils, add the rice cakes, sliced onions, thinly shredded cabbage, and fish cakes. Let it simmer over medium heat for about 2 to 3 minutes so the vegetables soften and impart their natural sweetness into the broth.
3. Add the ramen noodles
Add the ramen noodles to the pot. Gently loosen the noodles with tongs or chopsticks as they cook. Since the noodles absorb the liquid quickly, stir gently to make sure they do not stick to the bottom.
4. The glossy finish (Kwon Sang-woo’s signature touch)
Once the noodles are perfectly chewy and the sauce thickens into a glossy coat, drizzle 0.5 tbsp of corn syrup right before turning off the stove. Give it a gentle final stir to lock in that nostalgic street-food shine and deep savoriness.

"Personally, I love shredding the cabbage into long, thin strips instead of chopping it into chunks. That way, the strands tangle up with the ramen noodles like extra noodles, clinging to the sauce and adding the most satisfying texture to every single bite!"

4 months PP

Hi mamas I just hit 4 mo pp and everything has been great up just very tiring but so worth it until recently ive felt so lonely and like my life is falling behind? I don’t feel like myself still and I guess I thought I would. I feel guilty for feeling like this because it somehow makes me think I’m saying something negative about my baby girl and I’m definitely grateful and praise God for her every day. I work from home full time so I’m kind of here all day but thankfully my husband does to. Any advise on getting through this season?

Bestie, where are you?

I'm one month postpartum and looking for a friend to get through motherhood with. This is my second baby but things feel different this go round. I'm located in Georgia but I know we are all located all over the world so long distance is okay. Feel free to message me and don't be shy 🩷🩷
