I'm not celebrating what's happening to Texas and I honestly don't understand how some of you are treating this like a political victory parade. This is where we live! Where we're raising our children, paying our bills, and trying to build a future. I hope everyone actually understands the consequences of the votes you're celebrating because this isn't about getting a win for your political party. It's about what happens to the people who have to live under the decisions being made. I'm tired of people acting like anyone who questions this direction is the problem. We're allowed to care about the future of our state and we're allowed to be angry when we feel like it's being taken in a direction we don't believe in. So enjoy the celebration….. but don't forget that Texas is more than your political victory post it’s our home.

Yayyy Texas is blue!! My whole life this state has been red and we’ve dealt with all the problems that hot wheels has caused, so yes I am celebrating this change. Because this is also where I live, raise my kids, pay bills, and am building a future. This is a monumental victory for the people of this state

I’m sorry , what exactly is your issue with Texas going blue ? Im curious because you didn’t say a reason except you have you have to “live under these decisions” ?

Respectfully, I don't think this is the platform for these kinds of conversations. This app is meant to be a non-judgemental space for everyone.

I’m support what u said I don’t agree with the blue either!

Proud Liberal TX Mom, and I’m sooooooooo happy I can raise my daughter in a Blue State!!! And So Happy we all made the right choice and showed our kids that we can change where we live for the better 💙💙💙

Babes the issue with the country rn is the current political party aka the president. Change is necessary and Texas is a big part of that. Texas is one of the lowest ranked in healthcare and education. Let’s be fr

This is not a fun discussion, advice nor an event. It’s only the beginning to change, as mothers who know change is very important and essential. We can definitely help you through this process that will benefit the majority of your neighbors. Maybe it’s time to change environments.

It’s interesting how people have turned politics into a team sport, as if Texas changing from red to blue automatically means something has improved. Texas isn’t a color, and governing a state isn’t a popularity contest. You can celebrate a political shift all you want, but the real question is what happens afterward. Are families better off? Is the cost of living more manageable? Are schools improving? Are Texans actually benefiting? Because at the end of the day, we don’t live on a political map. We live with the decisions these politicians make. I’ll take proven leadership and results over celebrating a color any day.
You people are so uneducated on what’s going on right now. So caught up about the color changing it’s pretty sad 💁🏻♀️

girl anyways ? i dont need this type of negativity on my feed 😭

You’re only ~38 days pp, I wouldn’t be so wrapped up in this.

I think people who are upset about a color are not understanding it has nothing to do with the color it could be orange for all we care its the hope that the politicians we voted for are able to keep the promises they made. Texas under the republican party in education went from 7% to 49% it declined as texas became a Red/Republican state. Voting Blue or democratic have more plans for education to help benefit public school bot just private school like under Greg abbott teachers will/should have the opportunity to get paid more now that funds are being handed to them and so much more and education is just one reason so its not about a color its what the color represents because obviously we want better and Red/Republicans have had years to make a positive impact or change and that hasn’t happened in education for example. So instead of assuming people are excited about a color maybe think about what that change for someone people will do.

Ugh

I don’t think this is the place for this opinion so I kindly suggest you go to facebook or something luv

Im actually curious why the person that made this post and another are going back and forth with everyone else why not just engage with the people who see things the way you do. Yes this isn't a political talking app but it is for mothers wanting to connect with people so if this connects you with people fine. But why respond to the people that aren't agreeing your just creating an unpleasant vibe on here.😭never seen any turmoil on this app till today with this post.

I have an IVF baby. The Republicans in this state are trying to make access to IVF more difficult by adding more restrictions, as if the cost were not restrictive enough. So yes, voting blue is pretty dang important for us.

Love thy neighbor 💙

why would u even post this here lol, this isn’t the place for a political discussion 💀

Some of y'all are out of your minds we shouldn't celebrate this disaster really a governor who believes God is Binary what in the ridiculous shit is this.

I agree that Texas is our home, and that’s exactly why I think we should care about its direction. But voting blue doesn’t mean voting against Texas. For many of us, it’s about wanting better public education, affordable healthcare, more support for working families, and better opportunities for our children.
I also don’t think everything Republicans stand for is bad. Economic growth, public safety, fiscal responsibility, and individual freedoms matter, too. Neither party gets everything right. At the end of the day, I don’t care which party wins. I care about the future our children inherit. Wanting change doesn’t mean you don’t love Texas. Sometimes it means you love it enough to want better for it. 🫶🏻

If you’ve actually read the Bible, you would know that Jesus consistently refers to the Father throughout Scripture. God is not presented as non-binary in the Bible. You can have your own opinions, but please educate yourself on what Scripture actually says before making comments. And if you can’t contribute a reasonable or respectful discussion, perhaps it’s best not to comment at all. Some of these comments are honestly laughable. 😂

If we’re all talking about policies we want to see changed, as a Liberal Dem Mom Voter, here is what I Voted for:
1) I want Christians and Christianity out of public policy decisions, Specifically our schools. No ten commandment bullshit, no school prayers, no ban on lgbtq kids bc of your religio bullshit, Nada.
2) Vaccinations: I don’t want my kids going to school with unvaccinated kids whose parents don’t believe in Science bc they are to f’ing stupid and barely graduated high school themselves, now we have measles and shit all over. No. Fuck that, keep that shit outta schools.
3) Abortions/womens rights to CHOOSE. I had an ectopic pregnancy before my first child. Thankfully I lived in IL where I could get Mifepristone THE ABORTION DRUG. Thanks to that drug, I was able to save my ovary and have a baby a year later. According to Abbott, my ectopic pregnancy wasn’t real and I didn’t need that drug. So FUCK him and his wheelchair straight to hell.
I have more reasons but no space

I wasn't trying to debate religion that's just something our new government believes in lol

Yea y'all are and should be ashamed of who y'all choose

Even u just said he says stupid things lol

And I never said don't respond I just said the facts of what he believes in

I’m being induced today at 39 weeks due to a medical issue. I wasn’t induced with my first I went into spontaneous labour at 38.5weeks. Can anyone give me some positive words of encouragement who’s had inductions before as I’m a bit nervous 😬

Does anyone else have a bump yet? I understand you show quicker with multiple pregnancies but I already feel like a beached whale and the pelvic pain has already started 😭 although I have been doing a lot of walking recently.

This is my third baby and I've just been for my 16 week appointment and it was the most pointless thing ever?
She checked my urine and blood pressure. Spoke about my previous bloods results (which I can already see on badgernotes), reminded me about my 20 week scan (which I can see on badgernotes) and then told me she won't see me again until I'm 28 weeks.
I know this is my third, but why do women who are having their second or third child not get as many appointments as women who are pregnant with their first? Issues can crop up in any pregnancy, no matter how many children you've birthed...anyone else feel the same?

Hey, im 28 weeks pregnant and last night I was incredibly sick, pretty much every couple of hours. Im not sure if I have a bug or food poisoning? I did have some chow main for lunch from a place in Leeds, then tea was just mash, veg and pork chops but no one else who had that is sick.
Do I need to be checked by a midwife? Its my first pregnancy and im not sure if this means I should be checked over or not, any advice would be appreciated!
