Yes I can tell you sleep deprivation can cause this, and postpartum depression can be in the mix too but we get told our hormones can go up and down for 6 weeks or maybe more!

I’m 7 weeks pp and still get this. I start to feel more tired and overwhelmed late afternoon and can just cry over anything or nothing at all

Sleep deprivation accumulating over time, and the huge hormonal shift, and the adrenaline has well and truly worn off now. So yes you definitely are normal for feeling this way!! Sometimes a good cry helps x

Its completely normal it will get better, if it doesn't speak to your midwife team as they can refer you for postnatal support x

Normal to be up and down, it’s a wild time and so much change to navigate. Do you feel you have valid support and are you getting a reasonable chunk of sleep every night (4 hours uninterrupted)?

It also could be your period returning? I just had an almighty crash out earlier which ended with me in tears, just been to the loo and it’s my period 👋🏻 yay 🥳🙃

Anyone else have a mental breakdown this morning cause of the US election?

I don’t think I realized how much fear I have been holding on to since my son was born cause of the political situation in our country. I haven’t been able to stop crying all morning. Nothing has changed really but also everything has changed. I feel a glimmer of hope that my baby will grow up in a more tolerant, safe, protected country. It won’t be perfect but it won’t be so dark and hard. I feel insane for the amount of emotion pouring out.

My baby is 10 days old and I’m broken already.

He’s really fussy and screams a lot. Please tell me it gets better? I’ve read some people say by 12 weeks. I don’t think I’ve got 12 weeks in me. I’m seeing the mental health team but I need some reassurance. Just because today has b b bad does it mean tomorrow will be?

Feeling very depressed

I’m almost 29 weeks pregnant, I feel very depressed, lonely and like I have made a big mistake having a baby.

I don’t know if this is normal. I’ve been crying every day, I feel like I have made a stupid mistake and don’t really want children. I feel beyond terrible. Has anyone felt similar to this?

Dummy

Desperate for baby to accept dummy as it just buys me 5 minutes when my other child needs something, but he isn’t a huge fan. Do some babies not like dummies at all? Or do I just need to keep trying even though he hates it at 2 weeks old? I have been trying for over a week now!

He is ebf and I am using mam dummies.

Bottle sterilising

My son is turning 9 month old next week and I am just wondering at what age does everyone stop sterilising bottles? My little one is basically crawling now and half of the time he is licking the floor?? 🤣
