Newborn sleep

Any advice please! Baby was born Tuesday morning and Tuesday night and seems to be tonight I’m not able to put them down.
I’m breastfeeding so only colostrum so far so feeding quite often. But when he seems settled after feeding for a while and I put him down to sleep he kicks off and so far has only slept on me. How am I meant to do this without getting any sleep as I can’t put him down x

Hey my baby was born Monday morning and was the same until my milk came in today where she’ll now sleep in the next to me for a bit longer but still prefers being on me.
Co-sleeping is how I’m managing, how do you feel about it if you do it safely?

Night 2 is the worst! They cluster feed. Push through and hopefully tomorrow night will be better. Try and get some sleep in the day x

Look into safe co sleeping and safe chest sleeping

Its just what they do the first 3 months mama, the fourth trimester. Its so hard and nothing prepares you for it as a first time mom. They tend to settle after 3m but those first weeks they still want to be a part of you xx

Washing baby clothes before arrival

A lot of the clothes we have are hand-me- downed items. With some new zipped sleep suits and other bits. I'm guessing that all needs to be washed in non bio laundry detergent prior to baby wearing them. If my baby is due at the end of March when is a good time to do this please? Thanks in advance

I’m done. Can someone help me

Posting on here as you’re a month ahead. Since 3.5 months my baby stopped sleeping through the night and woke hourly. 7 weeks later he’s still waking hourly and will only be BF back to sleep.

The worst part is it’s a constant cycle of him having bad reflux and trapped wind and constantly feeding. We tried to rock him back to sleep for one hour last night but he wouldn’t sleep, again, only fed back to sleep.

My mental health is on the floor and I’m now being threatened with a parent and baby unit because I can’t cope. I have a toddler who wakes at 4am and I’ve had 2-3 hours of broken sleep for almost 2 months.

I’ve tried every single nap routine and timings out there trust me. Nothing works. Help.

3 week old

3 week old baby super fussy after a bottle, he is exclusively breastfed and has 1/2 bottles a day to help with weight gain but is super unsettled after every bottle and will act like he’s starving looking for more milk.
I’m obviously breastfeeding on demand, and trying to pump 3 times a day where I’ll get enough for 2 3.5oz bottles.
I don’t know if he’s just wanting comfort or more food

Anyone’s baby sleeping in their own room yet?

Yes I know the guidance, and that’s not what I’m asking. Is anyone’s baby in their own room yet for sleep? Our LO is constantly being disturbed by us, we hear him stirring when we move. He sleeps through the night already and we’ve moved day time naps to his own room because he will not sleep otherwise. We can’t move his next to me further away from the bed in our room because it’s a tiny room so there is no space. Really feel he’d sleep better in his own room and he doesn’t have a problem putting himself to sleep in his cot in the day so clearly feels safe there. So conflicted on what to do.
