Formula advice

My baby is 3 weeks old, predominately formula fed as not expressing enough milk.

Currently using Aptamil anti-reflux formula but she seems to be in distress after feeding, she does bring up wind from both ends quite well. Doctor believes she may have colic but she doesn’t cry constantly, when she does have expressed milk, she seems calmer.

Any advice please on formula which may be more suited, could it be the formula that’s not agreeing with her?

Thank you in advance

Maybe a cows milk allergy? My baby just seems to be a windy baby though, we have been to doctors about her panting after feeds. We now take lots of breaks during bottle feeds and are careful not to overfeed with the bottle. Expressed milk also seems to make her less windy. We had her tongue tie cut a couple of days ago, they said it could help with her swallowing air alongside the usual benefits but honestly hasn’t made a difference with that.

Hipp organic my baby was on aptamil and switching to hipp made a world of difference. She will finally sleep in her pram/ Moses basket and seems more content. Just be aware that with my baby making the switch meant she had a few really bad days with being uncomfortable and being a little bit constipated x

Honestly, as someone who went through this first time round and also went to baby clubs with a 1/4 of the people switching etc. I think that there's a certain element of "wind" that is entirely natural as the digestive systems are so slow to mature outside of the womb. Same happens with breast milk.

Pretty much over the fourth trimester it alleviates, and by month 4 and 5 just before weaning a difference.

I thought I'd just put that out there in case switching formula potentially multiple times doesn't do anything.

It's a minefield otherwise and some GPs default is allergy (with no symptoms)

thank you all, we went to the GP yesterday and he ruled out cows milk allergy and said she had colic. She cries when being winded and the usual cry- tired, hungry etc.

I am just wondering if I did switch formula, to try and incorporate a potential cows milk allergy and colic, is there one that does both please

Mustela brand

When did everyone start using this brand and specifically which products?

My LO is only 8 weeks so just using water when cleaning him but slowly want to start incorporating if required?

Anxiety help!

My 8 week old had just spent 3 days in the hospital and we've come home tonight.

Its left me feeling incredibly anxious! I feel sick, I'm struggling to hold any conversations, I am almost scared to be on my own with baby as I don't think i can cope!

Help 😫

Is this just the come down from a few days in hospital and sleep deprivation? Or should I probably seek help?

My husband is great at supporting, he let's me vent and takes the baby as much as possible.

I just don't know how to shake this feeling!!
