I’m pretty sure I have Postpartum depression. What’s everyone’s experiences been? I am a serious over thinker anyway but I’m worried they’ll try and take my baby away. The only thing that’s keeping me going through each day at the minute is my baby. I’m so overwhelmed and the stress from my ‘support’ system is getting too much.

Try going for walks, work out even for 20 mins. Do make up and try to take care of your skin. Talk to your doctor too

Hugs 🫂

the thing my midwife always reiterated to me was the goal is to get you better not to take your baby from you
be honest with your doctor or whoever you speak to they want to help you be the best you can for your baby 🤍

I know how you feel I had that it was not fun, I just put my baby down and cleaned the house that helped me, I only had one support person. So if they make you feel like your not a great mom then they are not going to make you feel better about yourself and what you need from a support system is support not judgment

If the stress from your support system is too much then sadly they are not a good support system, I can relate, and I’m sorry you’re going through this feel free to message me ♥️ also they will work with you to help you get better not take your baby away - hugs 🫂

I’ve found that going to groups can help. I’ve got a very good group in my area which is designed for mums with post natal depression and I’ve never felt helped so much. I can go there rant get advice if I need it and be able to talk to so it may be worth having a look in your area to find a group like that

It’s ok to get help, no one is looking to take your baby away ❤️

I’ve only been out once around day 10 with Baby for a check up at the clinic which was fine but we haven’t done anything else yet and coming up for 3 weeks? Anyone got any advice on when and how to start taking Babies out? Especially living in rainy winter weather

My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands
Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.
My thought is one day he won't want to hold my hand🥺 he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment
Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

Just need opinions on if I’m being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. I’m a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and I’m worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. They’re in a 3 story house, but he’s confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasn’t given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesn’t get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldn’t check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldn’t be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. He’s also confirmed he will be on crutches. I’m just worried about our son’s safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to “trust me” and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesn’t feel right to “give in” and accept potentially he isn’t safe just to keep the peace 😔

I’m so confused if I’m supposed to use postpartum belly binder or not. Different people say different things. When do we start using it and when do we stop please advise from personal experience🙏🏻
