Morning sickness

When did people with really bad sickness start to get better? I’ve been off for work for 6 weeks now and only able to eat a handful of things. Maxed out on anti sickness tablets. Had one hospital admission because my blood sugar was so low from lack of food/vomitting I was passing out and the lack of electrolytes was giving me an irregular heart rate😭😭 I’m 13 and a half weeks and the vomitting seems to be getting worse not better, I’m sick to my stomach every single day.

I’ve genuinely never felt worse in my life! What were other people’s experiences when they had really bad/extreme sickness/HG that was keeping them off work/in hospital?😭

Feeling like it’s just never going to get better at this stage. Can’t leave the house because it comes on so quick I’ve had to be sick in public on the street 😢

My sickness stopped around week 17. But it got better every week since week 14. You are getting there, you will probably be able to eat all the things you like again soon you'll see ❤️

Mine started to slow down around 20 weeks. I was pregnant with twins so I still got it every now and then. What medication are you on? They gave me ondansetron at 15 weeks and it helped so much, I was still sick but it helped with the nausea and I could stomach food again.

my morning sickness eased once I went into my second trimester around 12-14 weeks. I took Tums whenever I had morning sickness and found them a lot better and easier to take than other brands x

Mine started easing around 16 weeks then got considerably better at 20 weeks. It’s soooo hard. But you will get through it and you’ll forget about it eventually 💓🤞🏼

My family don't like baby's name

I love my baby boys name, my friends love it and my siblings too. Everyone else in my family are not crazy about it and keep saying because of its strong African sounding-ness baby will be judged and loose opportunities in the future blah blah blah.
For an African family we've got pretty bland European favoured names with our African born day names.

I respect their opinions but I love the name my other children love the name and I'm very happy to keep it.
I'm married to a European with middle easter roots and they'd prefer if we went down the Mediterranean style of name.

It makes me frustrated and sad because people in UK and maybe abroad favor names like George, Charlotte, Sarah, James I can't branch out? It's ridiculous we have artists with tough Russian or Germanic even Polish names which everyone just gets on with but something more African inspired isn't okay?

Baby hasn't got a birth certificate or official documents yet. Should I keep me baby's name which he's used to and his siblings? Or shall I confirm and listen to my elder family members and change it to a European favoured name?

I'm 95% sure I want to stick to my guns, after all on this pretty traumatic & difficult pregnancy journey it was only myself I could rely on and therefore who has the right to try and "re name" my baby?

Advice welcomed thanks 😊

Breech Baby

I’m 36 weeks today and just had an ultrasound scan. The technician found the baby in breech so I’ve been sent to maternity triage. This is my first baby so could anyone tell me what to expect while I’m in triage please 😅

Constant movement for 2 hours

I’m nearly 33 weeks and he’s not stopped wriggling, really big movements and lightening crotch pain for 2 hours. Is this normal?
I know movement is good but doesn’t normally go on for this long

How are you giving birth?

Saw a woman give birth in her driveway today and it had me wondering what my plan of action is. I know I want it to be as natural as possible (does gas and air count?) but not sure I want to go as far as not being at hospital? You guys?

Sorry I just needed something light hearted as there is a lot of worry and doom and gloom here if you aren’t careful.
