Saw a woman give birth in her driveway today and it had me wondering what my plan of action is. I know I want it to be as natural as possible (does gas and air count?) but not sure I want to go as far as not being at hospital? You guys?
Sorry I just needed something light hearted as there is a lot of worry and doom and gloom here if you aren’t careful.

Sorry wait a min, we’re gonna need a bit more on that first sentence!! WHAT!!

So somewhere between not on a drive way and not in a surgical theatre is a good idea

I would like to make it to the hospital at least! This is my second baby and my first labor was 4.5 hrs from water breaking to baby! It was a mess of being sent home and then getting back to the hospital at 10cm... I had a codeine and gas and air but they didn't really do much! My advice, have preferences not a plan. So, you'd like natural but be open to more pain relief or changes for what you need in the moment!

I didn’t have a plan with my first , midwife offered the pool so did that completely unmedicated and got to 9cm then had to have a C-section . The way I went into it was with no expectations and consider my experience very positive , this time round I’m consultant led and think I will be going elective c section

Hopefully not in my drive way 🤣🙃

I wanted natural as well with my first. My entire birth plan was "let my body do what it needs to do". I went to a birth clinic instead of a hospital (specifically the one in Chipping Norton) and they were exceptional at delivering every request. Do your research though and listen to your midwives suggestions because Ts and C's apply with that option of course. Birth centres cannot perform emergency procedures and will ambulance you to the nearest hospital at any red flag. HOWEVER, I was the only woman giving birth that week so I had everyone's attention and help all the time which provided for a very specific feminine calm energy that I wanted.
Birth was perfect, I will be doing the exact same this time around ☺️

I always thought a pool was a good idea, but i agree with what soneone said above not to have a concrete plan but just preferences, because everything, in my case pools, are dependant on availability on the day as nothing can be pre booked, so it sounds everything is on first come first served basis
Nauseous every day , I take my medication that my ob gave me to help , I’m only 9 weeks and a couple of days . What helped you ?

I’m nearly 33 weeks and he’s not stopped wriggling, really big movements and lightening crotch pain for 2 hours. Is this normal?
I know movement is good but doesn’t normally go on for this long

Hey all, I’m 29+5 weeks today and this week I’ve had light a tightening sensation in the lower part of my uterus a couple of times a day. Doesn’t hurt and it might be the baby has moved further down but I feel it could be Braxton Hicks? It doesn’t hurt at all just feels like a light squeeze. Anyone else experienced this?

Hi everyone, I was sent for a growth scan today (28+1) as midwives measured me smaller than they’d like but when I had the scan they said baby is perfectly fine and already weighing 2lbs 13oz. Does that seem big already?
