Hello! Congratulations. It’s good for you to talk about it. I’m 30weeks pregnant with my first. Maybe a nice foot rub from your partner and remember this will pass. Record your symptoms so you can chat to a doctor when you need to? X

Congrats. I had emergency c section cat 1 at 36 weeks.

Firstly, post partum is HARD so it’s totally normal.
Secondly, you can get referred to the perinatal mental health team if there are aspects of trauma or anxiety that over time don’t go. You can also ask for an after birth debrief if that would help x

Congratulations! I’m sure it is just baby blues and will pass in a couple of weeks once you have adjusted and your hormones start to settle a bit, it is a massive life change especially when the arrival has come early and taken you by surprise! I had an emergency c section with my first and really struggled with anxiety after, particularly health anxiety I had therapy for it which helped but it started to creep back in when I got pregnant with my second 4 years later so went back and have had therapy for trauma due to the first birth which has helped a lot! So if it does continue please don’t hesitate to seek help xx

You are doing great mama! Lots of warm hugs from afar. Check out Ashwagandha. My doctor prescribed it for me. It’s an herbal supplement that fights inflammation in your body which helps combat post partum blues. My other word of advice is accept help and try to source out daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning. My church put together a meal train for me. That was sooo helpful! My mom came to clean my house once. That really helped too. Another word of advice is don’t stress. Love your baby and love your spouse. Let him know how you feel and that you need special time with him and hugs. If he can take time off of work that really helps in the first couple weeks. If not maybe a close friend or family member will come. If they can’t, hang in there. Reach out to your medical team and pray. Things will get better.

Hey Gemma, second time Mummy here! I get pretty bad baby blues both times around - I think something I’ve come to accept is a lot of it is to do with hormones and it does pass with time trust me. With my first I thought I would be depressed forever but once the initial hormone crash passed I felt so much happier. Sleep deprivation and general anxiety over caring for a newborn never helps but as you grow in confidence in motherhood, begin to get longer stretches of sleep and a routine, plus getting outside more you will begin to feel ‘normal’ again! It can be so hard the newborn stage as you don’t have much routine or schedule and it can be very isolating. Try get out for a walk once a day - fresh air really helps! Also ask your health visitor about groups in your local area - there may be some you can take a bus too or in walking distance to get out and meet other new Mums. Sometimes just talking to someone going through the same thing is comforting. But trust me it all passes!x

Hello, I had an elect c section with my first due to him being Breech and I just didn't feel myself after at all. I felt really low and just cried all the time. I think thats normal to for baby blues to be worse if you didn't experience labour, which I didn't with my first.

Look for help if you need it and know it's normal but if you need help, get it.

Hard belly

Hey can anyone tell me if it’s normal to have such a hard belly???

I’m almost 36 weeks and have a very tight belly a lot of the time. I’m getting quite constipated so think it could be this and I’ve now got the bulge where his butt is but everything feels quite tight and feel concerned as I’m the first to be pregnant in family and friend groups and I don’t really know what to expect at this time…

Any help is appreciated 🩵
