Drowning

Anyone else feel like your drowning trying to do it ALL and becoming a mother you don’t want to be?! 😭 I am 9 weeks postpartum with my second and have been a stay at home mom for almost a year now. I am trying to juggle all the things but catch myself either being frustrated or just crying. I want to keep the house clean, play with my 3 year old, tend to my baby, get out of the house everyday, cook, show up for myself and be a good wife but lately it’s too much. 🫠 I have a hard time asking for help but just don’t know how I can continue to do it all. The worst part is my 3 year old tells me sorry for being grumpy when I have been grumpy which brakes my heart. Any suggestions are welcome because I need to figure out a new way to do it all.

Girl I’m sorry I feel you 💯 as women we are expected to juggle so much like house care, child care, self care etc! And we’re supposed to make it look easy and never get upset which I think is so unfair, you’re not alone, stay strong and feel free to message me if you’d like 🫶

Oh I can feel your pain and it's completely understandable in your situation. I wonder if there's anything you can let go of that could help? Maybe speak to your partner about your capacity at the moment and see if they can take some of the load? Asking for help is probably the best way forward, do you have family around who could come help with the baby or cooking? Or if your financial situation allows, pay a cleaner if that feels easier? Or could mess & microwave meals be ok for a while? What could someone else do and what do you need/want to do yourself? You don't have to do it all and raising kids takes a village. I know many of us don't have one (I also live far away from my family and friends) but finding a way to create a bit of a network with the resources you have is probably the best investment of time/courage/money. Your mental wellbeing is the thing that carries all of it so prioritising that is what's best for everyone. Big hugs ❤️

I really want to have another baby, but my little one is only 6 months old. How has it been for you having a baby and a 3-year-old? I’ve been thinking about the struggle if I have another baby so close in age, especially when my oldest is only going to be 1. I would love to hear how you’ve been managing everything. ❤️

When did you feel comfortable taking baby out for walks and coffee ?

I’ve only been out once around day 10 with Baby for a check up at the clinic which was fine but we haven’t done anything else yet and coming up for 3 weeks? Anyone got any advice on when and how to start taking Babies out? Especially living in rainy winter weather

Is this creating a bad habit

My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands

Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.

My thought is one day he won't want to hold my hand🥺 he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment

Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

Am I being irrational?

Just need opinions on if I’m being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. I’m a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and I’m worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. They’re in a 3 story house, but he’s confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasn’t given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesn’t get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldn’t check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldn’t be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. He’s also confirmed he will be on crutches. I’m just worried about our son’s safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to “trust me” and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesn’t feel right to “give in” and accept potentially he isn’t safe just to keep the peace 😔

Belly band Frida

I’m so confused if I’m supposed to use postpartum belly binder or not. Different people say different things. When do we start using it and when do we stop please advise from personal experience🙏🏻
