Lovely baby

My 7 week old daughter is an absolute dream, she doesn't cry (just shouts when she's hungry) very alert, happy and content, just an absolute pleasure to be around. Now I know how incredibly lucky I am with her but does any other mum with a similar baby struggle mentally? There's so many what ifs going through my mind and I'm scared to death she might change and start screaming, some days i feel sick with anxiety and nothing has actually happened? I'm driving myself crazy and scaring myself with thoughts of not being able to cope. I feel ridiculous because I know a lot of mums on here are seriously going through it and I have no idea how you manage xx

I feel very similar and did with my first. I am very fortunate this baby is generally (now) very settled unless struggling with wind. But I often feel anxious that I won’t be able to cope…but I know I will because I’ve done it before. I find it helpful to think that there may be times which are hard, but I am more then capable of looking after my baby and it’s normal to find some aspects of it difficult

When did you feel comfortable taking baby out for walks and coffee ?

I’ve only been out once around day 10 with Baby for a check up at the clinic which was fine but we haven’t done anything else yet and coming up for 3 weeks? Anyone got any advice on when and how to start taking Babies out? Especially living in rainy winter weather

Is this creating a bad habit

My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands

Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.

My thought is one day he won't want to hold my hand🥺 he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment

Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

Am I being irrational?

Just need opinions on if I’m being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. I’m a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and I’m worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. They’re in a 3 story house, but he’s confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasn’t given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesn’t get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldn’t check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldn’t be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. He’s also confirmed he will be on crutches. I’m just worried about our son’s safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to “trust me” and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesn’t feel right to “give in” and accept potentially he isn’t safe just to keep the peace 😔

Baby sleep - baby monitor

So my little boy (6 months in just over a week) has started pushing himself up and sitting up by himself. Last night I woke up twice to him sitting himself up in his next to me and once to him in the crawling position rocking back and forth. So it’s now at a point where I’m going to have to move him into his room and in his big boy cot. His bedroom is next to ours and cot is against the wall to our bedroom. I don’t know if to buy a baby monitor or which one? Anyone got any recommendations?
