I had to switch providers & drive an extra 30 minutes to find a VBAC friendly provider but it was worth it in my case. I did not respond well to the spinal w/ the C section. Also take into consideration how many pregnancies you want to have total. A lot of woman are advised at 3 c sections that they have a uterine window and that it’s no longer safe for them to have another pregnancy.

I just had a VBAC in July (csection in Feb 2022) and it was successful! I had similar complications during labour this time as I did with my first, but ultimately we delivered safely beside the operating table. I always felt like the baby's safety was most important and was ready for intervention at any point. I'm so happy I got the experience. It was entirely different healing and so much easier to be present with my older kiddo postpartum than it would've been if I had another cesarean!

I regret not trying for a VBAC. I decided on a scheduled c-section for two reasons. The first was that I was told I have a "narrow pelvis" and would possibly end up with a c-section anyway. The second was because it was nice knowing exactly when I'd have my baby so I could arrange childcare for my then 3-year-old. In the end, I had a smallish baby and probably could've birthed her vaginally. I also had a horrible recovery with my second c-section. However, my best friend said it was the best thing she ever did!
You really never know how things will go, but you always have the option (at least according to my doctors) to opt for a c-section at any point. If your gut tells you to try for a VBAC, I say go for it.

Zero regrets not trying for a VBAC. My scheduled section was great, easy and calm.

I loved my scheduled c section. It was easy and completely calm. I had a vaginal delivery prior to my emergency c section, so I was a "great candidate" for a vbac but I'm actually glad I didn't go for it. I had a fantastic experience.

I just had a successful VBAC 8 weeks ago and it was amazing. Also, the healing has been significantly better. My biggest motivation was my toddler who is very clingy. The thought of not being able to hold her for 6 weeks broke my heart. I worked with a great doula and a group of midwives that had a great success rate with vbacs. I will say it makes a huge difference when you have providers that are vbac supportive and not vbac tolerant.

Do you have a fear of missing out?

I’m nearly 33 weeks and he’s not stopped wriggling, really big movements and lightening crotch pain for 2 hours. Is this normal?
I know movement is good but doesn’t normally go on for this long

Saw a woman give birth in her driveway today and it had me wondering what my plan of action is. I know I want it to be as natural as possible (does gas and air count?) but not sure I want to go as far as not being at hospital? You guys?
Sorry I just needed something light hearted as there is a lot of worry and doom and gloom here if you aren’t careful.
