Child free friends

Anyone else has child free friends that rub you wrong sometimes? My sister-in-law, my husband's sister apparently isn't sure inside whether she wants to have kids with her boyfriend in the future or not and she often picks the wrongest moments to weigh that up. For example, me and my husband have 3 under 3 years old and it's been a really rough journey, our firstborn giving us lots of struggles in managing his CPA and colic in his first year and then behavioural and sleep issues since, then the patch of having two under two and our third baby has serious health risks and because of that I am with him in hospital a lot. Whenever it comes to her offering help or us talking about these struggles from time to time, whether in a casual or deep way she always adds: "See this is why I could never have children" or "Well this is what you get when having children, I could never, I just love my freedom" and her boyfriend is a rough guy, he can say things like: "Nah man, I would just get rid of them if they were like that, so it's good we're not parents."

The amount of these comments makes me believe they haven't truly found their answer yet and these comments are actually part of a discussion they haven't finished because I never go up to people who are breaking up and saying "Nah man, I could never break up, it has so many negative sides in it as I can see from you" or to someone who studied and is under pressure: "see you chose a life like this, that's why you're going through that, I am happy I am not studying" I feel like it's not necessary and shows a low emotional intelligence.

I wish I didn't have to put up with this. My husband and his sister are Irish twins and best buddies since birth and he knows to brush these comments off and not take them to heart but they turn me off from having a genuine friendship with her even though otherwise she is really cool.

I don’t have similar experience but people will say something let them speak they are crazy . I can understand how tough it is but you know you are too strong. So ignore and focus on your small family you your husband and kids, it’s your life your journey so don’t take stress. If something hurts you forgive and forget by assuming that that the person is not mad🤣. Not because she or he is actually but if you take them seriously it is not good for your health. Already you are struggling to raise your children you don’t have time to think about these people. Be stronger and safe.

Yes. People who don't have children can often say things that sound thoughtless to me. Used to drive me crazy when I still jad a lot of pp rage in me 😅 but now I just try to ignore it - it's their crazy, not yours, so don't take it personally.
But I get it when it comes to friendship - I had one friend who said something similar when I was pregnant (needless to say, showed other signs of carelessness too), so we are not as close anymore. I just don't think as highly of her as I used to with her behaving to thoughtlessly when I was pregnant and in early pp.

Idk maybe she feels like she needs to justify the fact she doesn’t have kids because as a woman she probably gets nagged about it and asked about it a lot. People are very nosey about that sort of thing. I wouldn’t take it as anything to do with you, might even be a poor attempt at saying “oh we couldn’t manage, don’t know how you do it” sort of thing, but it’s probably just her feeling like the main character and thinking about her feelings and not really thinking it’s offensive or upsetting in any way. She has literally no idea about the pressures of parenthood so doesn’t really realise the extent to which they take over your life. If it’s an issue just mention it next time, say “oh SIL, you always say this when I vent and it would be really helpful if you just empathised😂” or pick your audience better, talk to other parents about it!

Is his stomach normal?

My little boy is 2.5 weeks old. His stomach is very “balloon” looking and skin looks stretched.. Can anyone tell me if they think it looks normal or needs looking at? He’s solely breastfed but does sick up quite a bit…
Thanks (one anxious tired mum 🙁)

4 year old boy

My son is very active. Always jumping here and there. He is a ray of sunshine. Today when he was playing around the iron cot he hit his face on it very hardly and his father is taking him on his way to the ER. My mama heart aches so much seeing him crying in pain and hope he doesn’t get a scar from it as it is on his face. I am so scared and feeling lot of hurt myself :( just wanted to vent out.

Newborn trenches

So had my beautiful baby girl a week ago now, me and my partner are having extreme difficulties at night to settle her down to sleep in her crib, she'll literally stay in her cot for 10 mins max and start crying again 😭 we feed her, change her, burp her, stick a hot water bottle in her cot so its warm and put on her night light with white noise and still doesnt work 😭 so me and my boyfriend have to sleep apart and he'll take the baby to the living room and sort her out (feed her, burp her, cuddle her and then she goes to sleep in her nest pod all fine) and then we'll swap shifts basically whilst he goes and catch up on sleep...at this point we are so exhausted bc we try everything to settle her and this seems to be the only thing that works atm 😭🫠🙃 has anyone got any tips or had this problem before? Thankyou ❤️✨️

Is my colostrum ok? 😅

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and I've been collecting colostrum for about 2 weeks now, not every single day but pretty much every other day, it has got more and more every time and easier to collect each time, im now using my wearable breastpumps to collect as its easier and doesn't cause me any braxton hicks or any problems. Anyway the colour of it is like a milky clear colour? I've only seen others online that are like extremely yellow or creamy in colour? I googled it obviously and it said its normal, but I'm looking for real life people to answer if they've had similar looking colostrum? Thanks!
