Today is my birthday and I had a glass of white wine at 6 weeks postpartum; do I need to pump and dump my breastmilk?

Hey, I read into this a lot when I wanted to have a drink. You don’t need to pump & dump..
Depending on the alcohol volume you just wait roughly 3 hours or so from the moment you finish the glass.
I remember having a beer it was around 4% alcohol volume & I waited 4 hours just wanted to give it that extra hour

Happy birthday! And no, you dont need to :)

Nooo
Drink and enjoy your birthday.

No, but if you feel uneasy about the milk pump but don’t dump it, use it in a bath or freeze it, mark it and save it for later like for you or babies skin. Works wonders for acne and scars.

Just a general rule I’ve heard from others. For one glass of wine, wait for 2 hours before you breastfeed again as that’s how long it takes for the alcohol to leave your blood/milk. Obviously depends on each persons body as everyone is different.
Over two hours is ok to feed your baby, but the more units of alcohol you have, the longer you need to wait. Pumping in between is more to relieve discomfort if you need to.
But if it’s just one glass of wine you may be ok to not need to pump.
Hope it helps

Nope your blood alcohol levels will be the same as your milk alcohol levels meaning unless you are blind drunk and can’t drive it won’t affect the baby if he drinks that milk, the alcohol would be like a drop in a bottle of milk- detectable but not enough to affect baby at all. If you are social and go out often like me it’s a great idea to pump and freeze and have some milk behind for partner to heat up, and bring a portable pump w you.

Happy Birthday and no need to dump! In addition to the bath use, I read you can dilute it if you feel uneasy - meaning mix half of the “wine milk” with half “non wine” milk. But either way it dilutes itself after 2 hours.

Happy birthday, and you do not need to pump and dump, now with a glass only.
My child had just turned 2 recently and we're approaching next health review and I am unsure of certain behaviour that he's showing sometimes.
He's speaking walking etc no concerns here however not always he's reacting to his name, not always he's pointing, sometimes walking on tip toes, sometimes flapping his hands.
Online says that those are normal signs and nothing to be concerned until they're 3.
What are your experience in that matter should i be worried?
He's with me at home no nursery however everyday we're at playgroups.

Unsure what to do for nappy sizes. My bubba is currently in size 4 nutmeg and rascals but they're both tight and not fitting around her hips very well. She's also 8.5kg weighed last week.
Any ideas on what we should do?

Can anyone recommend ones that have worked really well for them and why

Hey mamas,
I’m reaching out here because this community always feels like a safe space. Lately, I’ve been struggling a lot more than usual with anxiety and depression, and it’s been feeling pretty heavy like laying on the floor sobbing for hours heavy. I was doing okay for a few weeks and then it started up again. I feel like I’m failing my son and now showing up for him because I’m always so sad or anxious
My doctor and I have been talking about options, and Sertraline (Zoloft) came up as a potential next step. Before making a decision, I wanted to ask if anyone here has been prescribed Sertraline? I’d love to hear what your experience was like—especially around how it made you feel starting out, how long it took to notice a difference, or any tips you wish you knew beforehand.
Sending love to anyone else who might be in the thick of it right now, too. Thanks so much in advance for sharing your stories! xx

My son is very active. Always jumping here and there. He is a ray of sunshine. Today when he was playing around the iron cot he hit his face on it very hardly and his father is taking him on his way to the ER. My mama heart aches so much seeing him crying in pain and hope he doesn’t get a scar from it as it is on his face. I am so scared and feeling lot of hurt myself :( just wanted to vent out.

My little boy is 2.5 weeks old. His stomach is very “balloon” looking and skin looks stretched.. Can anyone tell me if they think it looks normal or needs looking at? He’s solely breastfed but does sick up quite a bit…
Thanks (one anxious tired mum 🙁)
