Hey Mummas, we have my husbands Christmas works party in December, it’s about 30 mins from home, but instead of getting lifts/ taxis we’ve decided to book a hotel for the night and arranged for my sister to have little man over night. He will be nearly 6 months! But this will be the first time leaving him over night and we won’t leave until late afternoon and come back mid morning, but I feel really guilty, is this normal? Has anyone done anything similar? Any tips?

Completely normal and I think super healthy for you to do this for your own sanity. It’ll allow you to switch off and when you’re back you’ll feel so grateful. Don’t feel guilty, as long as your sister knows how you think things done/over communicates with you, it’s a nice thing to give her that trust 💛

I breastfeed and my 5 month old will not take a bottle. I would do this if I could but have no chance. Enjoy your night, it’s well deserved🫶
I’m writing this as an extremely exhausted mummy while feeding my baby to sleep for her nap as I have no other time. I have an almost 4 year old, 2.5 year old and 8 month old so I’ve basically been pregnant back to back. My first was 9 months old when I fell pregnant and 2nd baby was 1 year old when I fell pregnant with my 3rd. My body feels more unfit and knackered this time around (I’m 34). I’m feeling constantly like I’m not doing enough for someone, despite my husband helping me and being hands on as he does drop off and pick ups for nursery I deal with the mental load and keeping things as organised as they can be. I suppose I’m on my own most days but I’m fortunate the kids go to nursery during the week so I only have my 8 month old 24/7. I love motherhood so much but finding that because they’re all so young it’s hard to enjoy it and everytime I’m with my eldest and the 8 month old just the 2 of them I can’t help but fantasise about how much easier a 3 year gap would have been. I would have been able to be more independent as a mum but I feel bad relying on my husband’s help so much when his family make comments that he does too much etc and he should take it easy. Makes me feel so incapable as a mum and I wish I had age gaps now 😢 does this get easier? I would just appreciate any words of encouragement really x
Just to point out the comments from his family aren’t direct to me but I can tell by how they talk to him/ message him etc. for example if we host family at Christmas they will tell him to sit down and take it easy but wow it’s intense with 3 little ones plus I’m still breastfeeding and baby isn’t sleeping well yet so still sleep deprived x

I see so many people saying “don’t worry about getting it all set up! You won’t use it for the first year anyway!” But I’m that person who got it all set up and I’m in love with it.. I know my baby will be in my room for the first 6 months… but realistically will I get to use the nursery at all?

My daughter dad called to tell her happy birthday and revealed he had a baby on me. Im so hurt and angry. I don’t want to crash out i just want to let go but I’m struggling to get it off my mind m. What is some things I can do to let it go and stop thinking about it. I tried sending him his stuff i tried sending him a letter. I don’t know what to do.

My 13m old just wants to walk everywhere! But I live in a village with the main road being right next to our house so was thinking of getting some reigns so he can walk safely with me as he’s starting to hate the pram.
Any recommendations of which ones are best? Are they even recommend anymore as I know they can be controversial? (Not sure why as I see them as being safe?!)

Hi guys! I need some opinions or advice about having a newborn during the holidays. My baby girl will be about a month old by Thanksgiving, and originally, I really didn’t want to take her to anyone’s house. The thing is, if we go to my family’s house, we would also have to go to my husband’s family’s house, and my husband really wants to spend time with his family during the holidays. 😒
For those of you who had a newborn around the holidays, did you take them to family gatherings? If so, how did you handle it? I’m worried about her being passed around and potentially getting sick, especially since she’ll still be so little. Of course, my husband wants his family to be able to hold her, but I’m just not comfortable with having everyone pass her around when her immune system is still developing.
I’m trying to find a balance between letting family spend time with her and keeping her safe. I’d love to hear how you guys handled this! ❤️
