Hey ladies, my 2 year old shows all the signs of wanting to go potty. Like getting up on his toilet seat, telling us "ucky" if he poops or pees in his pull up, i mean all the signs. Well we ran out of pull ups last night (1/28) so ive been working with him, and he had 1 accident last night and didnt pee at all during the night 🙌 but today he has peed and pooped in everything i put him in. I did get him to poop in the toilet once today (1/29). I just dont know how to get him to use the potty. Our 4 year old girl goes and self taught herself.
Ive heard of using Cheerios but he wont stand at the potty so i cant really do that. Any suggestions mamas? My twins will be born in 6 months give or take and im hoping to get my oldest two out of pulls ups. Our oldest only wears pull ups at night and the handsome boy in the picture wears them all day/night.

Sitting boys on the potty or toilet backwards can help stop them peeing over the front.

Someone got Alexia to remind the child to go potty every 40 minutes. Then maybe time 5/10 minutes on the toilet? which I may do when the time has arrived upon us 🙂. If you have this or the Google one maybe an idea?

And he isnt much into sweets lol he looks fruits and veggies lol

I’m currently in the process of potty training my 2 year old. He ran out of pull up and I refuse to buy another pack or case. He’s been sleeping in his pj mask underwear no accidents during the day he waits until the very last minute to go ive noticed that the every 15 minutes does help . When he does use the bathroom in the potty or toilet acknowledge his accomplishment !

I remember my cousin was working on being potty trained and the week he stopped having constant accidents I was changing him and wiping his butt, and just talking to him about how he is a baby! He got so upset and said “I’m a big boy!!” And I told him that “big boys don’t need their diaper changed”. I guess that really struck a chord because he was determined to be a big boy and used the potty later that day and continued throughout the week. Lol
Also, small, occasional rewards like stickers or playing with a toy help! And not “punishments” but reinforcements how there isn’t anything good about changing his diaper.

I've been working on my soon with this. I'm a SAHM so I just have him diaperless until he gets the hang of always going potty I the big boy potty. I only do diapers and such for bedtime or when it is cold

I used a urinal to pee train my son. He was about 16 months when we started. It was this little frog shaped urinal that hung on the wall and its tongue was a spinning and he loved watching it spin as he peed on it. When we poop trained I would sit him on the potty backwards and let him draw on the toliet lid with a dry eraser marker for around the time he would normal go poop. Worked like a charm

I am trying to potty train my 3 year old. I’ve tried on and off 3 times without success. We took a break because he tells me he doesn’t want to sit on the potty and I don’t want to force him you know? Should I keep waiting until he tells me he wants to?

I’m struggling with potty training my 2.5 son ... any tricks ladies ??
