Ectopic pregnancy?

Those who have had an ectopic pregnancy what were your symptoms? I’ve been having pain in my lower abdomen. It happens on the right and left side and directly under my belly button. It started as a dull pain about a week ago but is getting sharper. I’ve also had lower back pain. I’ve taken several pregnancy tests and they were all negative. I’m also having some mild cramping and I’ve been having weird spotting. Twice I’ve had spotting that only happened once. I thought it was a period but it didn’t even last a full day. I’m 3 months postpartum as well. When I look up my symptoms online it either brings up appendicitis or ectopic pregnancy, so if anyone knows what’s it’s like for either it would help me know which dr to go to.

I had an ectopic pregnancy in June and it was a constant pain on my right side, even before I’d missed my period. I started bleeding at 5 weeks pregnant so they booked me in for a scan and confirmed it was in my right tube. I was getting positive pregnancy tests though as your HCG still rises, just very slowly. Hope you get sorted 💖

Oh please get this checked ASAP. I had one in April and nearly died as dramatic as that sounds. I lost my tube, my ovary and had my whole stomach opened via csection route with drains and everything. Check now before everything goes too far xxx tmi but my doctor told me I was just constipated till I passed out in pain.

If your pregnancy tests are negative it could also be a UTI or kidney infection. They really really hurt and they hurt right where you are feeling pain. You should go to a doctor and get a urine test.

For me it felt like I had been stabbed, like there was a pool of blood inside my stomach, I found it difficult to switch sides whilst sleeping and felt incredibly uncomfortable, I called 999 and went into A&E they confirmed I was pregnant, I then went for keyhole surgery to remove the Fallopian tube and blood.

I had an ectopic back in Jan. If you re getting negative tests it’s not likely to be an ectopic. An ectopic would still show a positive. I had the odd bout of really bad cramps but mainly constant bleeding for quite a few weeks until the docs could diagnose it. They checked my hcg levels every 48hours for a week and they remained low. So had a few scans where they couldn t find anything until they checked my tubes and found a pregnancy that needed to be operated on

I think if you are postpartum you should go and get check! Asap! I had an ectopic and you feel pain in one of the sides ( ovarian side)! Mine was left and the test were positive. I think it might be sonething else.

Heart murmur

Took my 4 month old to the GP yesterday for something unrelated and when checking him over they heard a heart murmur. That didn’t say too much and scheduled another GP appointment for next week. Just wondering if any other mummas babies have had one and what their journeys were/if baby just grew out of it. Thank you x

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Burnout

I have the odd day (like today) where I feel completely wiped out, without energy, physical especially, even if I had we good night sleep. I try entertaining baby as much as I normally do but it's a lot! Don't know if it's burnout or what.. will mention to gp in case I have some deficiency but again it's not everyday. Baby is only 4 months, am I too old?? And we'd like another at some point 🙈 don't know how mums of multiples do it

First time leaving the house with newborn

Has anybody managed to step outside since the baby arrived? We were considering starting super local, 10 min by car to somewhere where we can go on a pram walk or cafe. But we were wondering if this is safe, given the baby has no vaccines yet. What’s everyone doing?

Reduced movements

Baby hadn’t moved for about 2 hours (that I can be sure of) but has now got hiccups and moving slightly again. Should I still go to triage or is that enough for things to be ok?
