First time leaving the house with newborn

Has anybody managed to step outside since the baby arrived? We were considering starting super local, 10 min by car to somewhere where we can go on a pram walk or cafe. But we were wondering if this is safe, given the baby has no vaccines yet. What’s everyone doing?

You can’t stay inside for 8 weeks waiting for the vaccines - you’ve got to get out and about for your own head. Just keep baby away from really busy places inside that could be crowded. In theory no one should get close enough to you to pose a risk! I always have a line ready in my head for anyone that gets too close (usually old people 😂)

This is my second baby and I have a 21 month old toddler 🤣 we would have gone insane if we’d stayed in! So we’ve been to soft plays, the zoo, the library, to restaurants, you name it! Obviously baby has stayed either with me or dad so he hasn’t interacted with anyone but he’s doing good and we’ve retained our sanity with our toddler 🤣xx

I took my newborn out in his pram to the shops the day after coming home from hospital, I needed to get up and about to help with healing from a section. As long as people don’t touch, your baby should be fine.

I was out on day 3 otherwise I’d be going stir crazy.
Safe to go out. Just don’t be letting random people come too close to baby.

I’d say please respect my babies space, we don’t need any germs! Or if needed I’d say get the f away from my baby 😂

Would this be a red flag for a future/potential employer?

Have been communicating about interviewing for an open position via email. The hiring manager first responds at 9pm. I respond the next morning with availability for an interview. They don't respond the next day, so the following day I follow up. They don't respond that day or the next (yesterday), but then just replied at 10pm setting an interview time. J was annoyed that the communication was so delayed. And I was even more annoyed that I kept being emailed late at night. Is this a sign I don't want to work for them?

Hospital Bag?

Hey everyone! When is the right time to pack your hospital bag and what on earth do I need? I see so many different websites and advice on social media that it all gets very overwhelming. Thank you so much for any help.

Things you wish you’d do before C-Section

I’m having my section on Sunday, and trying to write a bunch of ‘self-care’ type things I want to do before hand.
Now I’m not talking the practical things like setting up changing or feeding stations etc. I’m talking things for you like shaving your legs or dying your eyebrows 😂
I know from my last section that I’m not gunna feel my best so I want to do everything I can to feel good! I’ve got a fresh haircut already!
So what are some things you did / wish you did before your c section?

Anatomy scan

Got an anatomy scan today and a little late on the OBGYN stuff but getting caught up and my baby boy was trying to flip his feet over his head so that explains the jumps in my stomach and the pressure on my bladder!!! He also did a peace sign ✌️ sometimes during these visits it feel so surreal knowing a baby is growing inside of you!! 🤧
