Worried about speech regression

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s normal for a 2-year-old to regress in skills he had already developed, such as his speech. A few weeks ago, he was progressing really well, speaking in 5–6 word sentences with some help from us. Suddenly, this week, he’s not using such long sentences, and when he’s excited to say something,...

Tantrumming Toddlers

Someone reassure me they are going through the same? My little one screams until he’s coughing and wrenching when it’s time to lie in bed, if he can’t have a certain food, if it’s time to get dressed, time to get undressed. I just want to try and keep him happy and so many of my mum friends aren’t having the same...

So my nearly 16 month old has started hitting my face and finds it really funny even when I say ‘no’ firmly and show him gentle hands or even ignore him put him down and walk off just nothing works. He seems to only do it to me really not his dad or anyone else just me and earlier I thought to myself I know it’s onl...

16 month old talking

Hi so obviously I understand all babies are different and go at their different places but I was just curious to see how many words your babies are saying? My little girl says roughly 7-9 that I can remember but google says they should be saying atleast 16 by now and I was just curious if others are in the same boa...

What words are your babies saying? Do they point at things as if they know what the words mean? 💬

My baby says “Mama” and “Dadda.” I’m not sure he fully understands what they mean yet, but sometimes he says them at the right moments when he wants his mom or dad. It also sounds like he says “doggy” when he sees the dogs around us. And every once in a while, he’ll say a cute little “Hi!” in the mornings ☀️

Age difference between my older daughter and son is 21 months. My daughter is in a cute way obsessed with her new brother ! She always wants to kiss him and is now trying to carry him. When we say something to her- like kind hands or no, we have a meltdown ! Any tips ?

3.5 year old - query autism

Hi After some advise. For the last year my daughter is showing signs of autism. My partner has denyed my questioning and keeps telling me she’s just a toddler until a week ago. We have just returned from a week abroad, and it’s the first time my partner has spent a solid week with her and has been able to see wha...

Does your April 2024 baby hit or bite? How do you handle it?

For those whose babies are hitting or biting — how are you handling discipline? Also, if you have older kids and have already been through this phase, did intervening help in the long run? I’ve heard that some kids continue hitting or biting until around 3–5 years old. What actions have worked best for you as a pare...

ADHD?

Is it normal for 13 month olds to have so many tantrums? My little one throws tantrums any time she doesn’t get her own way. She jerks her body back, basically throwing herself on the floor. She’s also hitting which I’ve been trying for the past 2 months for her to stop but nothing seems to be working. She only hi...

Her tantrums have been awful and it’s usually just with me than with her dad. This morning I’m trying to get her dressed and ready for the day and she is having a major tantrums and it’s been going on for an hour. I’ve let her choose her clothes so she has a choice in what to wear but even still she doesn’t want to ...

Speech?

My 16 month old knows around 10 words and has said / used them contextually correct in the past. However for maybe the last month or so it's very rare he says/uses any of the words other than mama/dada. He babbles like crazy and is very vocal but just hasn't said many of the words he knows in a little while. Shoul...

Ears ringing

So my boyfriend said his ear was ringing all day. His ear is still ringing yet he’s playing a game with ear buds in his ear. Can someone make sense of this? I don’t have tinnitus so I’m not sure if that makes sense of him to do?

Communication

I keep getting shrugged off by everyone they meets my son but my gut is telling me he needs help. My son only says mama, dada. Sometimes he will try to say dog, uh oh. He can sign more, and points to many things he likes or wants. He babbles a lot and repeats the same sounds mostly when babbling. He screeches loudly...
