Speech delay

Hii, my son is going to be 3 next month and he has no words not even mama. He's had 2 sessions with speech and language and we've got 2 more left. She said he's really behind on his speech he doesn't even attempt to copy words or sounds. Was hoping to hear some positive stories 🙏

Babbling

Anyone else’s baby not really babbling yet? My 7 month old makes noises but hasn’t stated to form any “ma” or “da” sounds yet - it’s more like a whine if that makes sense 😅

I know every baby develops at their own pace so not too worried yet but wondering if anyone else is the same?

Is your October baby saying mama or dada etc yet?

My baby isn't even babbling, the health visitor wasn't too concerned and was more interested in gestures.

Autism in Toddlers, Advice Please!

I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD when I was 16, I am now 28 and I am concerned my 2 year old has signs of Autism aswell. She does repetitive movements and actions such as pinching her self, she gets extremely upset to the point she screams like shes is being hurt even when no one is thouching her. She makes unusual noises like a grunting or whinning noise, and she has also started with extreme aggression like hitting both me and her father, smashing toys or hutting herself/head against something hard.

She does not struggle with her speak or commumication but with the way she has started to be I worry she may have Autism aswell. She has been very forward in her learning with speaking/reading and is in no way shy when it comes to playing with other children or imaginative play.

But for the past few months we have not had 1 day where she is just calm and does not do these things. Am I over thinking this? I am a first time parent so no previous experience with toddlers, I just have this feeling like something is not right.

Do binkies delay development?

My son is almost 15m and uses a binky all day still (like not just for sleeping) he knows a lot of sign language and he's started immitating/repeating words but he just doesn't babble as much as some other babies.
I spoke in full sentences before i was 2 and i used a binky until about 2½. so im wondering if using a binky matters or not

Tantrums

Guys please! is anyoneee struggling with they’re little boy getting so fustrated and banging heads off the floor/ walls? Over the tiniest thing??? i’m loosing my mind! he will not sit still, food is becoming a bigger and bigger issue, he whines 90% of the time even if he’s got a toy he loves. i’m constantly buying things in an effort to entertain him but the tantrums are just getting too much🫠🫠 i feel like im bloomin failing! he’s 17 months on the 4th. has over 65 words and is as bright as a button. can even use the magnet to open my safety locks now. Nothings safe🫠🥲

Baby nails

I usually file my son's nails but he was laying down to eat I ebf, and suddenly he started scream crying so I soothed him and after noticed that he had a fresh cut right under his eye so that worried me and I tried to file his nails while he was awake which I usually do when he's sleeping but because of the cut I wanted to do it rather quickly if possible. He was being fussy so I grabbed the nail clippers instead figuring I'd be able to hold his fingers steady and do it quicker and I got four out of the five nails done quickly without problem no movement and then I got to his thumbnail and right as I went to clip he moved a little bit and it clipped back a little farther than it should have he cried very briefly and quietly, he's not crying now, but his thumb is still bleeding very lightly I just worry it's going to keep popping open because he holds his fists and his thumb is main contact for a lot of the things that he grabs should I be worried about this has this happened to anybody else because this is the first nick that we've had and I feel so so bad 🙁 just need advice or kind words
(He'll be 4m next week if that matters)

What does your day to day routine look like? ✍️

I wanna hear it. Chaos and all. I used to have such a great routine with my little one but life got crazy and I let the routine change. Trying to get him back into the swing of things🙂‍↕️ what activities do you and your little one do? 🤔

Does anyone else struggle to go out with our little one?

I feel like my little boy is a ticking time bomb ready to go off🤣

Feeling paranoid 🤯

My brother was playing with my 9 month d and was just throwing him in the air… Im paranoid that he will get brain damage or something as I googled it and it said you shouldn’t throw them in the air. It wasn’t done roughly. He was just playing with him 😩🥺
