Sad about pumping and dumping 😢

I am on antibiotics for mastitis and having to pump and dump for the next 8 days (saving the milk for baths though) I tried to continue breastfeeding but both myself and my 8 week old nurseling ended up with a rash from the antibiotic they prescribed me. 😭 I feel so depressed not being able to breastfeed anymore,…

Worrying about hydration in this heat 😭

I've been offering the breast more often since the heat hit two days ago but today he's not wet as many nappies as normal, definitely not 6. He's been super upset tonight woken up 4 times since 7pm already, I've offered breast every time and he's taken it but his nappy I put on at 7 is still pretty dry so I'm starti...

Sterilising

Does anyone sterilise bottles with just boiling water? If so how do you do it please as I’m currently using the Milton cold water steriliser and I have been for a few months but I really don’t like how it smells and how the smell stays on the bottles, even when he’s drinking it I can smell it. It’s diluted bleach an...

Hygiene

So with the weather getting hotter, I am getting slightly sweater with the heat. I do shower regularly, but my breasts today have been slightly damp and I don’t know if it’s cause I leaned in the bra or my sweat. Do I need to wipe down my nipple before a feed? With bottles they get sterilised, so how come I don’t ...

To all the moms in here

I hear a lot in here about how you don't think you are good enough for your children. These are lies your brain is telling you when you're stressed, overworked, overstimulated, burnt out, touched out, and unappreciated. Don't let those destructive thoughts win!!! Take a deep breath, take a bath, read a book, talk to...

What time do your LOs go to sleep nowadays?

We pushed my daughter’s bedtime back a month or so ago as she was consistently waking up at 5.30. It has helped her wake later but she’s usually not asleep til 8 now (seems to be taking her longer to go to sleep too) which I feel is quite late! Interested in what time others are in bed/asleep by?

Help 🙃 taking forever to settle to sleep

My son sleeps through the night from around 7:30/8 until 6:30/7:30 but takes forever to actually get off to sleep. He needs to hold someone’s hand to doze off and gets upset if you remove it. At the moment it’s taking sometimes as long as 45 minutes for him to go to sleep even when he is clearly tired. Any tips for ...
