Did anyone else get really swollen feel and legs after a c-section? And is there anything else besides elevating them that can help?

Are you still wearing the stockings?

I did!! Did you get given any compression socks? If so, keep them on and keep your feet elevated. I also tried walking around a bit and drank plenty of water. It’s horrible but they do go down eventually 🙌🏼 x

Yes! Mine were huge about a week later! Could barely wear sneakers. Went away after a day or two though x

Yes, it’s from the fluids they gave you. Make sure you’re super hydrated and prop your feet up! Massage seemed to help me as well. My swelling went down & then came back a few times and I think it was from not being hydrated.

Yes definately! I just had mine done yesterday morning and my feet and legs have ballooned to twice the swollen size than before. I was also told it's quite normal to sweat out all that accumulated fluid so you might be feeling pretty gross soon. Hang in there and take it easy ❤

Yes unfortunately this is normal after c section. Try to walk around to help blood flow and drink tons of water but truly you just have to wait it out. Mine finally went down a week after the c section and I lost 20 lbs in two nights from the swelling dropping!

Avatar

Yes!! It was awful and so uncomfortable, all you can do is rest with your legs up. Mine last about a week from memory

Yeah mine did real bad!! I just elevated them and stopped using the socks and it went away like after 2 days of me not wearing the socks! I know your supposed to wear them but for me my feet were so fat they hurt sooo bad i couldnt even walk most of the time..

Avatar

Yep! Massage your feet get the fluid moving, drink plenty and wear compression socks at night when in bed

I did and mine turned into blood clots so be sure to wear your socks 11000%

Yes. Just elevated them wherever possible and my partner massaged them. They went down pretty quickly.

I never received socks but I think I know someone who has compression socks.

Yes, was worst than during pregnancy. I popped on 2xu recovery socks that has compression and my feet went back to pre pregnancy feet in 2 days!
Hospital socks are so so but better than nothing.

Growth scan at 34 weeks

Hi, I went to the midwife yesterday and have been referred for an urgent growth scan as baby has dropped from the 90th to 40th percentile over the last three measurements. Has anyone experienced this? So stressful 😔

Bleeding while you pregnant…

I'm six weeks pregnant with my second child. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I had some light spotting. At five weeks, I had an ultrasound and a blood test for hCG levels. The ultrasound showed a bleeding wound, but it doesn't affect pregnancy. My hCG increased by 169% in two days. After all these tests, I no longer saw blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. Then yesterday, I had a little difficulty going to the bathroom, and after that, I saw a small amount of blood on the toilet paper again. Nothing today. I'm going for an ultrasound on Friday, but I'm still uneasy. Has anyone else had this?

Placenta not working properly

I'm 34+2 and baby has gotten smaller since my last growth scan. There is blood flow going between the baby and the placenta but it seems the baby may be struggling slightly. I have a scan tomorrow to see if my c section should be booked in for 36 weeks.

Has anyone had a 36 week baby? X my first was 39+4 x
