I think it depends on what your restrictions are like in your hospital because at mine he is only allowed to stay for 2 hours after the birth so I don’t think he will need much. We will probably just leave a change of clothes in the car just in case, I’ve packed us both a toothbrush and snacks of course. Xx

I’ve put packing his hospital bag on his to do list 😉

Check with your hospital, but at a class last night they told us they can stay the whole time. Also they said partner's are allowed in the birthing pool if they like so maybe something to consider? Make sure they have food. Although I have put some snacks in especially for him, making a sandwich might be something to put on the "during labour at home" instructions 😂

You really don’t need to do a bag for your partner.

He may need to do one for himself, but there is zero point you putting one together for him. He needs to work out what he needs / wants, and then pack it himself so he knows what’s in it and where.

A lot of people say he should also pack your bag, even if you choose the stuff and put it out to be packed. Otherwise he’s going to be clueless on what’s in it and where when you want things from it.

Starting point for birth partners bag is knowing what the restrictions are at the place you’re planning to give birth.

I’m just letting him pack whatever he wants 😂 probably his phone, headphones and loads of motocross downloads x

Hospital Bag?

Hey everyone! When is the right time to pack your hospital bag and what on earth do I need? I see so many different websites and advice on social media that it all gets very overwhelming. Thank you so much for any help.

Things you wish you’d do before C-Section

I’m having my section on Sunday, and trying to write a bunch of ‘self-care’ type things I want to do before hand.
Now I’m not talking the practical things like setting up changing or feeding stations etc. I’m talking things for you like shaving your legs or dying your eyebrows 😂
I know from my last section that I’m not gunna feel my best so I want to do everything I can to feel good! I’ve got a fresh haircut already!
So what are some things you did / wish you did before your c section?

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Heart murmur

Took my 4 month old to the GP yesterday for something unrelated and when checking him over they heard a heart murmur. That didn’t say too much and scheduled another GP appointment for next week. Just wondering if any other mummas babies have had one and what their journeys were/if baby just grew out of it. Thank you x

First time leaving the house with newborn

Has anybody managed to step outside since the baby arrived? We were considering starting super local, 10 min by car to somewhere where we can go on a pram walk or cafe. But we were wondering if this is safe, given the baby has no vaccines yet. What’s everyone doing?
