Babymoon, yay or nay? 🤰🏾✈️☀️🏝

Anyone still planning on going on a baby moon? I’m undecided but would love a cheeky holiday before bubba is born 🥰

I'm heading dubai in three weeks for 5 days and I cannot wait. I will be 24 weeks. I plan on bringing my notes with me but I feel perfectly fine going.

We are also looking and would love to go in April (I'm due end of June) but quite limited I think on places where it will be hot, other than Dubai.

If you fly after 28 weeks you have to get signed off my your doctor and also let the airline know. We moved ours from April to Feb so I new I could definitely go.

I was suppose to go on holiday in may but I would be 8 months then :( we have now booked Spain for March.
Just be careful going somewhere too hot as being pregnant when it is hot is not nice!

We’re going to the Dominican Republic in 2 weeks for 2 weeks and I’ll be 24 weeks then. Cannot wait to get some sun ☀️

Do it! I’m off to Tenerife next week for 7 nights, adults only all inclusive 👌 ☀️ midwife said to avoid long haul where possible and sit in the aisle seat. We booked with TUI and the welfare team were really accommodating for seats etc ☺️ xx

Definitely do it! I’m off to Dubai for two weeks at the end of feb and I’ll be 24 weeks. X

We are off on Sunday for a week to Egypt! One last holiday the two of us. I’m currently 18 weeks and didn’t want to leave it too much later xx

We’re going to take the euro tunnel to France so we can take our fur baby with us ❤️

We went to Gran Canaria a few weeks ago (3x postponed honeymoon that we were supposed to be going on in June, ha!) and it was amazing. Take your hospital notes and check with your midwife about how to avoid things like DVT on the plane xx

I want to go on one but all the uk destinations aren’t doing it for me. I want to be in the sun and need to get my passport renewed. Going to be very last min if we do go.
I’m also looking at spa breaks but they are so expensive

Me and my boyfriend are gonna go to Scotland for ours 🥰 neither of us having a vaccine, so travelling is more difficult, and also you’re not meant to be in direct sun when pregnant, so Scotland seems like a safe choice 😅 I’m excited! Though the car journey from Brighton will be 🤢 xxx

I just did an 18 hour travel day getting to the US. I was told it was fine as long as you get up and about regularly and drink loads of water. I did both and my legs still were pretty swollen (even with extra strong flight socks on) but I am sooo glad we did it x

We are going to a few places before baby comes : North Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Bristol and Hereford areas. But our baby moon holiday will be in Ross on Wye area 🌿
Me and my partner aren't having the vax and flying somewhere with all the restrictions sounds stressful so we decided to just visit pretty places around a 4/5 hour drive from South Wales 😊💖

Heart murmur

Took my 4 month old to the GP yesterday for something unrelated and when checking him over they heard a heart murmur. That didn’t say too much and scheduled another GP appointment for next week. Just wondering if any other mummas babies have had one and what their journeys were/if baby just grew out of it. Thank you x

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Burnout

I have the odd day (like today) where I feel completely wiped out, without energy, physical especially, even if I had we good night sleep. I try entertaining baby as much as I normally do but it's a lot! Don't know if it's burnout or what.. will mention to gp in case I have some deficiency but again it's not everyday. Baby is only 4 months, am I too old?? And we'd like another at some point 🙈 don't know how mums of multiples do it

First time leaving the house with newborn

Has anybody managed to step outside since the baby arrived? We were considering starting super local, 10 min by car to somewhere where we can go on a pram walk or cafe. But we were wondering if this is safe, given the baby has no vaccines yet. What’s everyone doing?
