I’m January (almost 11 months postpartum) I had a random outbreak of hives all over my body. They have no idea what caused it. Nothing in my day to day changed - nothing I ate, no product that I used. I don’t think hives can be triggered by breastfeeding or being postpartum? Not sure, not a doctor.

My doc did say that hives can just randomly happen and be a freak thing. If they go away, and come back super strong again then they are being triggered by something.

I had hives after birth too! I took some allergy meds, make safe they’re for breastfeeding! And they cleared up and didn’t come back. When did you have baby? And how many days have you had the hives?

Yep. So irritating

I didn't get hives after birth but I had it while pregnant for no reason. Doctor said it was probably the hormones.

I did. It randomly came like 1 month postpartum, it basically was PUPPs all over again. Idk what triggered it but it lasted like a month and a half. Nothing really helped me, I just had to wait for it to subside. Idk if stretch marks triggered it cause where ever I got them , both during pregnancy and after, stretch marks later appeared 🤷🏽‍♀️

I am almost 5 months pp and recently started getting hives over my Breast and on my belly sometimes. I took claratyne and it went away. I suspected it was mushroom or the new laundry powder causing it, didn’t know it was a thing after pp. Went for a blood test to find out the cause, waiting on results

I had them too. They went away around 1.5-2 months postpartum

I had them too especially from all the sweating I couldn’t control after birth

shower infront of children

Is it weird to shower infront of your children, or your children see you naked?
At what age should this stop?

I’m just looking at what everyone’s thoughts are as I have a 7 month old and at the moment it’s hard for me to shower without him getting upset.

We contact nap atm, otherwise I'd shower when he sleeps!

It’s easier to bring his play mat into the bathroom whilst I shower so i can at least wash, else i have to wait for my husband to arrive home at 5/6pm.

Keen to see what people's opinions are and how other people do this!

GIRL DADS TAKING DAUGHTER TO BATHROOM IN PUBLIC

If a girl dad needs to take his daughter to the bathroom in public and there are no family bathrooms … I swear video online of a dad saying he uses the women’s bathroom but always knocks and announces ‘girl dad helping my daughter go to the bathroom’ and I love that idea and mens rooms are disgusting but wanted to see everyone’s thoughts

Dummies

What’s everyone’s views on dummies? Are you planning to use them and if so at what age ? I am breastfeeding and my midwife said to avoid them as it might effect feeding but baby is feeding really well now and he has now found his thumb to suck for comfort ! I would prefer him to use a sterilised dummy than his hands that might carry germs but he is only 3.5 weeks not sure if it’s too early ?
