You’re not geriatric!!!

This group has been made for women that have decided to start (or restart) their ttc journey after 35 years of age. To help other women that are at a similar point in their lives. Created by me, just turned 40 with my first child.

I’m 41 and 6 weeks away from having my first! I’m so ready to be a mum. Took me many many years to find the one who would be my forever and can wait for us to be a family! 💙

Thanks Suzy congrats to you too! Oh and I’m a dog mum also! Yes I think it’s such a positive thing to promote becoming a mum at any age! Iv been great actually, not too many issues, Fatigue is starting to kick in and he’s a big heathy boy already, so might get to meet him sooner! How about you? How’s your journey so far!? X

How exciting! Oh yes I felt exhausted in the first trimester and bloomed in my second and now feeling the struggle, but it’s all worth it! Oh yes and my appetite has been crazy too, I could eat a full loaf of toast and butter all day every day!! 😂

I just joined today. I am glad to see there is a group like this because, having a baby at a later age is still looked at in a negative way. I hate that as there is nothing wrong with it or "old/geriatric" about having a baby at a later age/not in our 20's. I am a woman starting over with being 43 years old and having my 3rd child while my 2nd child is already 17 years old. 😁

Ohhhh yey, great idea to start this group 💪🏼 Im 41 this year, have a 13 year old, 10 year old and due baby boy in 4 days x

I am 38 years old and pregnant as a solo mother with my second child, 33 weeks. My son from a previous relationship was born 10 years ago, so it feels like starting over

Hey all! Great idea for the group !
I’ve just had our 3rd baby at 42 years old. My previous 2 being now aged 14 and 6. The stigma having another child over 40, is crazy!

Hi I'm 41 and 29weeks pregnant. Second pregnancy we already have an 8 year old together. A little scary doing this in my 40's but but its mostly been from society's opinions on the matter. I feel some women in there 40's act and feel like they are old. I don't feel any different from my first pregnancy 8 years ago, I certainly don't feel old. Not saying I won't find mother hood harder this time I'm sure I will!! Currently 29 weeks experiencing highs and lows and still get the odd day of nausea same as first time round.

Hi I’m probably the oldest 😂🫣 44 (just turned) and expecting my 1st I’m 19 weeks

I’m 40 in July and my baby is due in May. I’ve already got a 14yr and 11yr old and I definitely feel like I’m starting from scratch again.

I came on the app hoping that meet some other ladies in the same position, but not many people actually converse over messages… but still I do enjoy the threads on groups x

Great to have this group. I'm 40, due my second in May through IVF. Have an 11 year old conceived naturally.

I'm 40 and expecting my 3rd bundle in June. I already have 2 girls 11 and 7!!
Anyone being constantly being asked if there pregnancy is a accident because of your age?

Avatar

Hi lovelies, I’m 42 and TTC past year and half. Have 2 children already from ex partner. Looking into clinics for ivf but still hoping to conceive naturally. Only thing that changed from last 2 pregs is age and I don’t eat meat so wondering if it’s a dietary issue. Also have fibroid and cyst. Is anyone here on a ivf journey ?

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏
