36 week ultrasound??

Is a 36 week ultrasound standard? My midwives are saying they do one but when I went to schedule my 36 week appointment thr receptionist said "they only do one if it's medically necessary" so I'm getting confused. I really wanna see my little boy and use some good photos for his baby book!

Not standard.. but if referred should be done

It's standard where I go, 36 weeks is the last ultrasound to confirm baby's position and check on fluid to make sure they don't need to intervene.

I’m having one for the growth scan. My doc said she’s a little small but nothing to worry about and she’s writing small in my chart so insurance will cover the growth scan

I had one this week at 35 weeks and they said they’ll do them weekly now😳 they didn’t say there was any particular reason for it

I’m high risk so my office is scheduling weekly ultrasounds starting from 36 weeks

There’s always places to schedule 3D ones

I agree with . My Dr and NP said it’s standard to check the position of baby and size. I’m not sure about the fluid.

and see thats what I thought cause all my midwives have said it like its a routine ultrasound to check on babies growth and all that but then the receptionist made it seem like thats wasn't going to happen at all? Obviously I trust the doctors more but I just thought it was strange

Not standard where I go. Only get if it’s medically required. I haven’t seen my baby since 20 weeks and I’m 37 now, it sucks but not much u can do

Ultrasounds are not accurate in measuring babies weight, especially in third trimester. Idk why some doctor rely on it when they can be off by 1-2lbs. It can sometimes cause for unnecessary intervention. I declined a ultrasound for this reason as I am not high risk and everything looks healthy on the baby.

Mine is making me do it because they keep saying she's a big baby so they need to monitor her.. 🙄

I have one scheduled for 36 weeks and there are no real concerns. From the outside I have been measuring small so they check with an ultrasound to make sure the baby is still growing on track and fluid levels are good

My OB scheduled a 36 week ultrasound with me, she said it’s because they want to see if baby’s head is down :)

It's standard in the practice I go to, they do an initial one in the beginning, the anatomy scan around 22 weeks and a growth one at 36

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Reduced movements

26 weeks and haven’t really felt little baby all day, she’s usually super active & I have a posterior placenta so I feel her all the time usually. I did feel her ever so briefly earlier right down into my pelvis. I was at maternity triage the other night with tummy cramps but everything was fine and so was baby. What should I do? I don’t want to feel like a nuisance?
